Stefon Diggs: The NFL Star and His Two Kids
NFL superstar Stefon Diggs is gearing up to welcome his third child.
Diggs stepped into parenthood in 2016 when he had a daughter named Nova with a former partner, just a year after being drafted into the NFL.
“When I see her, I’m amazed by how much she resembles Tre,” Diggs shared with Sports Illustrated, referencing both his younger brother and his daughter’s similar soft-spoken natures.
His second child, a daughter named Charliee, arrived in April 2025, with Aileen Lopera. Just five months later, Cardi B confirmed that she and the New England Patriots athlete are expecting a baby together. (Cardi has three older children with her estranged husband, Offset.)
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs. I’m excited,” Cardi expressed in a September interview on CBS Mornings. “I’m happy and feel empowered, balancing my work while creating a new life.”
At that time, Cardi praised Diggs for making her feel “confident, and like I can take on the world.”
“Just two weeks ago, I was having a panic attack, crying incessantly due to the album rollout pressures,” she shared about her record Am I The Drama?. “People can be very polarizing, but he encouraged me to stay strong. Feeling safe and confident really empowers me.”
Diggs began dating Cardi in late 2024, following her split from Offset, and revealed weeks later that the rapper is due “very soon.”
“It’s a boy,” Diggs mentioned to People at the CFDA Awards in November 2025. “I’m eager to get him started on push-ups, sit-ups, and running.”

Nova Diggs
Diggs welcomed his first daughter, Nova, in October 2016 with a previous partner whose identity remains private. Nova is frequently spotted at her father’s NFL games with the family.
Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera
Model Aileen Lopera gave birth to daughter Charliee in April 2025.
In December 2024, Lopera filed a paternity suit claiming Diggs as the father and sought child support. Diggs requested a DNA test to confirm his paternity and expressed a desire for joint custody if confirmed.
The test results were reportedly revealed in November 2025.
“The paternity has been confirmed. Mr. Diggs is the father of the child,” Lopera’s lawyer Tamar Arminak stated to The Sun. “With paternity established, my client hopes they can co-parent effectively.”

In September 2025, Cardi announced she is expecting her first baby with Diggs, her fourth overall.
Although Cardi hasn’t publicly commented on Charliee’s birth, she seemed unfazed by the paternity lawsuit.
“That’s your baby daddy, right? He’s my baby daddy too,” she remarked during a livestream. “So what now? We’ll work it out.”
