Steve McBee Sr. Shares His Last Meal Choice Before Serving Time in Prison
McBee Dynasty star Steve McBee Sr. recently shared his choice for his last meal prior to entering prison.
“I love steak,” McBee, 52, stated in an interview with People, published on Saturday, November 29.
The CEO of McBee Farm & Cattle is set to begin a 24-month sentence on Monday, December 1, after admitting guilt to a charge of federal crop insurance fraud. Additionally, he was sentenced in October to two years of supervised release and must repay $4,022,124 in restitution.
By accepting a plea deal, McBee managed to avoid a grand jury trial and a potential 30-year prison term without the possibility of parole if found guilty.
As the time for his prison check-in approaches—set for 2 p.m. on Monday in Yankton, South Dakota—McBee revealed his plan for one final big meal on Sunday, November 30, inviting family over.
“Being a cattle guy, steak and potatoes are my favorites. I’m a fan of potatoes in any form—baked, mashed, or fried,” he said.
McBee conceded that this Sunday’s dinner might be the last of its kind for quite some time.
Looking forward, he mentioned that the “biggest expectation” from friends and family is for him to come out “big and buff” from prison.
“I worry that if I don’t look different when I get out, they might say, ‘Really? You had all that time to work out,’” he expressed. “There’s a lot of pressure! I need to go in and hit the gym hard. Yankton is an old college; they say there’s a solid gym and that the food isn’t bad compared to other places. I’m trying to focus on the positives.”
His son Steve McBee Jr. exclusively told Us Weekly during BravoCon 2025 that the family is prioritizing time together.
“We’re just making the most of our time with him, focusing on family dinners and supporting each other,” Steve Jr., 32, said. “I believe the core theme of our show, especially now, is family. We can overcome anything, without a doubt.”

Cole McBee also told Us, “We’re trying to spend as much time as we can with Dad before he leaves. It’s a tough period in our lives, but we’ll get through this together.”
Steve Sr. has gained unexpected support from fellow reality star Todd Chrisley. The star of Chrisley Knows Best, 56, and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were pardoned by President Donald Trump in May after being previously convicted of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and tax fraud in 2022.
“I can’t say enough good things about Todd,” Steve Sr. mentioned to People on Wednesday, November 26. “After recording a podcast with him last Thursday, we had lunch together. When we entered the restaurant, a lovely young hostess saw Todd and immediately started crying.”
He continued, “The hostess said, ‘Mr. Chrisley, we love you. I was released from prison on October 9, and the changes you’ve made for my sisters still inside—treating them like humans—are changing lives. It was a powerful moment.”
Fans can expect to see this tough chapter in the family’s life unfold on McBee Dynasty, as Bravo has renewed the show for a third season prior to Steve Sr.’s sentencing.
