Summer I Turned Pretty Cast: Discover the Stars of the Prime Video Series Then and Now

The Summer I Turned Pretty enthusiasts have observed cast changes both in front of and behind the camera as the series finale approaches.

Adapted from Jenny Han’s trilogy, The Summer I Turned Pretty centers on a love triangle involving Belly (Lola Tung), Conrad (Christopher Briney), and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). Beyond the core trio, audiences have also gained insight into Belly’s brother, Steven (Sean Kaufman), mom Laurel (Jackie Chung), and best friend Taylor (Rain Spencer).

Han’s trilogy includes The Summer I Turned Pretty, It’s Not Summer Without You, and We’ll Always Have Summer, suggesting that the series may conclude after three seasons. Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon and MGM Studios, previously hinted at plans to broaden the show’s universe.

“I can say to stay tuned, as Jenny has some thrilling surprises in store. We’re excited about season 3, and she envisions more to come,” he stated in an interview with Deadline in September 2023. “This show is going to remain a pivotal focus for us, and we certainly have intentions to keep expanding it. Jenny has a fantastic vision for its future, and we’re actively developing complementary projects.”

However, Sanders later dismissed the notion of a potential Summer I Turned Pretty spinoff.

“That might have been optimistic thinking on my part, and Jenny has remained focused on getting these seasons right,” he shared with Deadline in July 2025. “We’re exploring new and different avenues with Jenny at the moment. She has introduced some other related concepts.”

Sanders expressed a desire to continue collaborating with Han in some way.

“Once the entire season launches, we’ll initiate conversations and encourage her to choose from the numerous ideas she’s presented,” he added. “But we’ve moved on from those discussions.”

Lola Tung

The actress is preparing for her film debut in Forbidden Fruits and The Young People. She has also performed in several plays: Set Me Free, Almost Famous, and Hadestown.

Christopher Briney
