‘Survivor’ Winners Over the Years: What Are They Up To Now?
It’s a challenging game — but someone has to take it on! Survivor has proven to be a fan favorite and a ratings powerhouse for CBS since its launch in 2000.
This reality series grants one sole Survivor a $1 million prize each season after enduring 39 days in the great outdoors. Over the years, it has evolved significantly. Host Jeff Probst, who has led the show since its inception, remains open to new ideas, incorporating various formats and twists along the way.
The journey began with Richard Hatch, the first champion of Survivor: Borneo. He returned three years later to compete in Survivor: All-Stars but couldn’t clinch the title again. Later on, Sandra Diaz-Twine made history by becoming the first-ever two-time winner.
Sandra’s reign wouldn’t last long, however. During Survivor’s 40th season, Winners at War, 20 past champions returned to battle for a $2 million reward. In the end, Tony Vlachos emerged victorious, taking both the title and the money.
