Sydney Sweeney Stuns in Corset Dress at Christy Premiere
Sydney Sweeney exuded Old Hollywood charm in a form-fitting gown on the red carpet.
The 27-year-old actress showcased her hourglass figure at the premiere of her biopic, Christy, during the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on September 5.
Sweeney turned heads in a sculpted dress featuring a corset bodice and a sharply defined silhouette that highlighted her cinched waist at the Princess of Wales Theatre.
The corset transitioned into a flowing, voluminous skirt that gathered at her hip, accented by a stunning crimson rosette. She completed her glamorous look with soft, bombshell waves and understated makeup, including her signature smoky eye and nude lip.
Before stepping onto the red carpet, Sweeney greeted fans and took photos with the real-life boxer, Christy Martin, whom she portrays in her upcoming film, now generating Oscar buzz.
The Euphoria star underwent a significant transformation for her intense role, gaining between 30 and 35 pounds while enhancing her physique through a rigorous workout and nutrition regimen.

“When I accepted the role of Christy, I underwent three and a half months of rigorous training. I started adjusting my diet and incorporated an hour of weight training in the morning, kicked boxing for about two hours in the afternoon, and then weight-trained again at night for another hour,” she shared with W Magazine in June.
During the interview, Sweeney found a picture on her phone that showcased her transformation into Christy, complete with brown contact lenses and a short brown wig.
“My body changed dramatically; none of my clothes fit. I typically wear a size 23 in jeans but had to move up to a size 27. My bust got larger, and my rear became more pronounced—it was surreal! I remember thinking, Oh my god,” she recounted.
“But it felt incredible,” she continued. “I felt exceptionally strong, like unbelievably strong.”
Christy is set for a nationwide theatrical release on November 7, 2025.
