Taylor Swift Makes an Appearance at Travis Kelce’s Chiefs vs. Texans Playoff Showdown

Taylor Swift kicked off the NFL postseason by cheering on Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs during their playoff game against the Houston Texans.

The 35-year-old pop sensation showed her support for the tight end, also 35, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, during the divisional playoff on Saturday, January 18. She donned a stylish black minidress accessorized with a pearl Chanel belt and a matching checked jacket, finishing her look with a coordinating Chanel handbag and her signature red lipstick.

Earlier that week, Kelce had confirmed Swift’s attendance, stating, “You know it, baby,” during the January 13 episode of ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show. “You know it’s playoff football, man.”

He also referenced one of Swift’s famous lyrics, expressing his excitement for the game: “I’m feeling fired up. I’m feeling 22 all over again, baby. Let’s go.”

Saturday marked the Chiefs’ first playoff game of the 2024-2025 NFL season. After securing the No. 1 seed in the AFC, the team had home-field advantage and a bye week for the wild card round the previous weekend. The Chiefs are aiming for a three-peat after their Super Bowl victories in 2023 and 2024, which would make them the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

Swift has been a consistent presence at home games, attending every one except for a December 2024 match against the Los Angeles Chargers, which coincided with her last Eras Tour concert in Vancouver. While she chose not to go to away games during the regular season, her support for Kelce has been unwavering.

Swift played a significant role in Kelce’s postseason journey last year, attending all Chiefs playoff games in early 2024. She braved the cold in Kansas City as the Chiefs defeated the Miami Dolphins in the wild card round in January 2024, then traveled to Buffalo, New York, to witness the Chiefs triumph over the Buffalo Bills. Following the team’s victory against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game, Swift joined Kelce on the field at M&T Bank Stadium to celebrate.

In February 2024, Swift gained attention for her trek from Tokyo to Las Vegas to attend the Super Bowl despite her hectic tour schedule. She celebrated on the field with Kelce after the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium and later partied publicly in Las Vegas with friends and family to mark the occasion.

This year’s playoffs will move on to the conference championships on January 26, culminating in the Super Bowl on February 9.
