Taylor Swift Misses Travis Kelce’s Thanksgiving Game: Chiefs vs. Cowboys

Travis Kelce celebrated Thanksgiving on the football field as the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Dallas Cowboys, while Taylor Swift appeared to cheer for her fiancé from a distance.

The pop icon, 35, was not present at the Thursday, November 27, game held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Earlier this week, Swift was in attendance for Kelce’s home game on Sunday, November 23, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, where the Chiefs triumphed over the Indianapolis Colts in overtime, improving their record for the 2025-2026 season to 6-5.

Swift has been a frequent attendee of Kelce’s home games this season, choosing to maintain a lower profile compared to previous years by accessing her private suite discreetly. A source exclusively revealed to Us Weekly in October that the spotlight on her had become “too excessive.” However, she hasn’t yet traveled to any away games this season.

Outside of Kelce’s hectic NFL schedule, he and Swift are embracing their first holiday season as an engaged couple following his proposal in August.

“It will be a very low-key, family-focused affair without any major travel,” an insider informed Us about their holiday plans in October.

With Chiefs games scheduled for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, Swift and Kelce wish to enjoy their downtime with family.

“Travis fits perfectly with her family, and Taylor adores [his mom] Donna. They converse regularly,” the insider added. “They make it a point to visit both families as often as possible. They are very family-oriented and appreciate that about one another.”

Last year, Swift and Kelce celebrated their first Thanksgiving together after she spent the holiday in South America during her Eras Tour in November 2023. Swift’s family— including her mom, Andrea, and dad, Scott— reportedly hosted the Kelces in Nashville for Thanksgiving in 2024 before heading to Kansas City for the Chiefs game against the Las Vegas Raiders the next day.

Regarding their Christmas traditions, Swift supported Kelce during his Christmas Day game against the Raiders in December 2023 but missed his away game against the Pittsburgh Steelers the following year. This Christmas, it’s likely Swift will celebrate at Arrowhead Stadium with Kelce as the Chiefs play the Denver Broncos at home.

As the holiday chaos unfolds, Swift and Kelce have comfortably settled into domestic bliss since getting engaged.

“With their high-profile careers, finding simplicity and normalcy together feels great,” an insider shared with Us in October. A second source added, “Taylor and Travis are really laid-back. On a typical night in, they enjoy a casual dinner while deciding what to watch. It’s very homey and peaceful.”

As for their forthcoming wedding, plans are “in progress,” according to the first source. “They are both very involved, and Taylor thinks it’s sweet that Travis wants to be part of the preparations.”

Swift and Kelce aspire to get married next summer, with her Rhode Island home being considered as a potential venue.

“They don’t want a prolonged engagement,” the source noted, mentioning that the couple “aims to start a family in the next year or so. Family is everything to them.”
