Taylor Swift Shares Zoe Kravitz Snake Story with Seth Meyers

Taylor Swift recounts her perspective on the incident involving Zoe Kravitz and Lisa Bonet losing a pet snake at her residence in Los Angeles.

This snake saga unfolded after the 35-year-old pop star offered shelter to Kravitz, 36, and her mother Bonet, 57, during the California wildfires earlier this year. As Kravitz shared in an August appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the snake, named Orpheus and owned by Bonet, managed to slither into a tiny hole in Swift’s bathroom. Bonet grabbed Orpheus by the tail, and Swift’s house manager resorted to using a crowbar to “tear apart” the bathroom in a bid to retrieve the snake, Kravitz recounted.

Almost two months after Kravitz’s tale on Late Night, Swift shared her side during her October 8 appearance on Meyers’ NBC show.

“I want to start by saying we all have that one friend,” she jested to Meyers, adding, “I vividly recall receiving a call from my head of security attempting to explain this bizarre scenario to me.”

Swift’s immediate response was, “What snake?”

“I found myself listening, thinking, ‘Uh-huh, okay, okay.’ I hate to name names, but it’s crucial here: Zoe Kravitz and Lisa Bonet are handling a Burmese python that’s half inside the wall. Meanwhile, there’s a man with an ax who just demolished a custom vintage cupboard,” she recalled.

Swift went on, “There are splinters all over the floor. To me, it’s like they’re glancing over their shoulders as if caught in a photo shoot by Annie Leibovitz. This is the most stylish situation ever – Zoe is dressed head-to-toe in The Row. I thought, ‘This is not just a problem; it’s a YSL ad.’”

She added, “It sounds absolutely fantastic. I’m disappointed I missed it.”

Taylor Swift and Zoë Kravitz share a supportive bond that dates back to at least 2016, when they were spotted dining in New York City with Swift’s A-list circle. “There’s something about living in your early 20s that brings people together in a way that feels like family,” […]

Swift mentioned, “I couldn’t even be angry,” reflecting on how she initially withheld the details she knew about the snake situation and the damaged furniture from Kravitz.

“I played a little game in my head because I know her too well; she wouldn’t spill the beans until it was all sorted,” she said. “I kept a countdown on my phone, noting the days – it took exactly three weeks to fix the damaged cupboard.”

When Kravitz finally confessed, Swift recalled, “She was sitting at my place and said, ‘Hey, I’ve got to tell you something that happened now that it’s all sorted.’ I was like, ‘You had a snake in the house, it got loose, it was in the wall, and they had to use an ax, and you told them not to inform me!’”

Swift told Kravitz, “Dude, I’ve been chuckling about this for three weeks.”
