The Lotte New York Palace’s Hidden Dirty Shirley Cocktail on the Secret Menu

Spotted in The Gold Room: those in the know enjoying The Palace’s Dirty Shirley.

The Lotte New York Palace is currently offering its own interpretation of a Dirty Shirley, a cocktail that pays homage to the childhood classic, the Shirley Temple. Although it’s not officially on the menu, Us Weekly confirms that requesting The Palace’s Dirty Shirley will delight your taste buds and transport you back to a time when ginger ale, grenadine, and a maraschino cherry were the ultimate treats.

The Palace’s Dirty Shirley boasts ingredients like Grey Goose vodka, Crème de Framboise, Luxardo, Moet Imperial Rose Champagne, and lemon. The highlight, however, is the $30 cocktail served with cherry cotton candy, Luxardo cherries, and a lemon twist.

The Palace tells Us that Justin Lorenz, the Beverage Director at the Palace, aimed to elevate this “throwback” by using Grey Goose Vodka as the base. The Crème de Framboise and Luxardo add a rich, fruity depth, while Moët Impérial Rosé Champagne finishes with a crisp effervescence, balanced by a bright twist of lemon. Luxardo cherries and cherry cotton candy top off the drink, ensuring it’s both playful and sophisticated.

Busy Philipps is a huge fan of margaritas and knows what makes one worth enjoying time after time. “My ideal meal is chips and salsa and a margarita,” Philipps shared with The Cut in January 2017. “I grew up in Arizona. I grew up on chips and salsa…”

This isn’t the first time The Lotte New York Palace has introduced a fun cocktail. Back in March, the bartenders crafted a Guinness Float for St. Patrick’s Day, combining the Irish beer with Bailey’s Irish Cream ice cream and a sidecar of Jameson Irish Whiskey.

While guests can hopefully try the Guinness Float again next year (and currently savor the Dirty Shirley), a constant on the menu is the xoxo Gossip Girl cocktail, inspired by The CW show that regularly featured The Palace during its six-season run.
