Then and Now: The Cast of ‘Blue Bloods’ from Season 1 to Today
Blue Bloods debuted on CBS in September 2010, introducing audiences to the Reagan family of law enforcement officers — and fans had to bid farewell at the conclusion of season 14.
Len Cariou portrays the family patriarch as retired New York police commissioner, Henry Reagan. His son, Frank (Tom Selleck), is the current police commissioner; Frank’s son Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) serves as a detective, while his younger son Jamie (Will Estes) holds the rank of sergeant; Frank’s daughter, Erin (Bridget Moynahan), also plays a prominent role. At the series’ inception, Frank and his family were grieving the loss of his eldest son, Joe Reagan, who appears only in flashbacks.
Though the series started with several notable stars — including Jennifer Esposito as Detective Jackie Curatola — the six actors mentioned above have been the only constants from the series’ beginning to its conclusion.
CBS announced in November 2023 that season 14 will mark the end of the series. Viewers will see the first set of episodes starting in February 2024, with the second part concluding in December of the same year.
