This Is Us: A Look at the Cast’s Children in Photos
The ensemble cast of This Is Us resembles their on-screen families in their real lives as well.
“[Playing a mother has] revealed to me that perhaps I’m not as patient as I believed,” Mandy Moore, who took on the role of matriarch Rebecca Pearson, shared exclusively with Us Weekly in February 2019, mentioning that she acquired diaper-changing skills during the show’s inaugural season. “But maybe that will change when I have my own kids.”
Moore is a mother to three children—sons Gus and Ozzir and daughter Louise—with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith. Sterling K. Brown is also a father to two sons, Andrew and Amaré, whom he shares with his wife, Ryan Michelle Bathe.
“Each [This Is Us baby] has been such a blessing,” Brown confided exclusively to Us in May 2021. “It’s wonderful to see more people joining the parenting club because [when the show began], it was just Justin [Hartley] and me in that role. Now, everyone else is diving into it as well.”
He continued: “It’s been such a beautiful and bonding experience to share my journey of fatherhood and parenting with all of them.”
