‘Travel Sports’ Mom Kristin Cavallari Cheerfully Poses on the Sidelines with Her Son

Kristin Cavallari is certainly a busy mom!

“Travel sports aren’t for the weak,” the reality star and podcast host shared via her Instagram Stories on Friday, April 4, alongside a photo of the active mother of three and her son, Jaxon. “It’s my bedtime and we haven’t even started.”

Cavallari is very much a hands-on parent. During a March 25 episode of her podcast, “Let’s Be Honest,” she disclosed that Jaxon and his siblings—Camden, 12, and Saylor, 9—will make appearances in her upcoming reality series Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour.

“[Cameras] would arrive at 6 a.m. to capture our usual morning routine where I make breakfast, pack their lunches, and drop them off at school,” she explained. “Even afterward, we filmed at home; my kids would come back from school, rush in, and step onto the camera.”

Cavallari, who made her mark on reality TV with Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and The Hills, highlighted the enjoyable experience of filming with her kids.

“I’m really looking forward to sharing this with everyone, to show how normal my life actually is,” she added, mentioning that her children were “so entertaining on camera” and “were completely themselves” throughout the new reality show, which is set to debut on Thursday, June 5, on E!. “I felt really nervous initially during filming, and I thought others might feel the same way, but my kids were adorable and authentic, which was heartwarming to witness.”

Despite the fun times, Cavallari stated that she is cautious about the amount of time her children spend in front of the camera. “Having that little glimpse into my life with my kids was genuinely enjoyable,” she remarked, emphasizing her desire not to overwhelm them with exposure.

“I believe there’s a delicate balance when it comes to children, entertainment, and media. Throughout my career, I’ve always wanted to keep them as kids. I never want them to feel exploited, to be honest,” Cavallari noted.

One reason she chooses to include her kids in her new show is that she had not featured them in Very Cavallari, a decision she now regrets.

“That was the one aspect of Very Cavallari—my kids are the most significant part of my life, and their absence from the show really did a disservice to me,” Cavallari confessed. “I did a disservice to myself because if I can’t showcase the biggest aspect of my life, we end up having to create plots to fill the void that should have been filled by my kids.”
