Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenee Privately Welcome Their New Baby
NFL superstar Travis Hunter and his wife Leanna Lenee have joyfully announced the arrival of their baby boy.
The couple shared the exciting news in a touching YouTube video on Wednesday, August 27. The video features intimate moments, including: Hunter, 22, and Lenee, 23, celebrating a positive pregnancy test; looking at sonograms; discovering their baby’s gender (“I knew it was a boy,” Lenee comments); Lenee showcasing her baby bump; and the expectant parents in the hospital, preparing to welcome their child while listening to his heartbeat on the monitor.
“Do you have a message for our baby?” Lenee asks Hunter.
“You’ve got to be better than me,” he responds.
The video momentarily fades as the sound of Lenee giving birth and their newborn’s cries fills the audio.
“That baby looks just like me,” Hunter exclaims, gazing at his son for the first time. He then tells his wife, “You did great, baby.”
The couple captioned their video, “Dear Son, We love you. Love, Mom and Dad.”
Hunter and Lenee tied the knot in Tennessee in May, just a month after the Jacksonville Jaguars picked Hunter as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
“On 02/26/2022, you first asked me to be your girlfriend,” Lenee shared on Instagram back then. “Now, 3.5 years later, on 05/24/2025, I became your wife. You make me the happiest woman on this planet, and I am thrilled to spend forever with you.”
In July, Lenee posted an emotional video of herself crying on the bathroom floor via TikTok, stating, “I wish I could go back and hug the December version of me 🥹.”
“I don’t even recognize this girl anymore,” Lenee noted. “The transformation you can achieve in just six months of dedicating your life to Jesus and stepping away from the constraints of the world and social media is remarkable.”
She added, “I hope the peace I found within Jesus reaches everyone reading this. ❤️ Your identity in Him matters more than how others choose to perceive you.”
In December 2024, Lenee discontinued her social media accounts after receiving criticism for not standing when Hunter was honored with the Heisman Trophy for being the top college football player.
Videos from Heisman weekend also circulated that showed Lenee seemingly upset with Hunter. Fans speculated it was due to his lack of attention towards her at an Adidas pop-up shop.
“The stories people fabricate are truly astonishing, because that’s not what actually happened,” Lenee clarified in a TikTok video late last year. “I believe people are nitpicking every little detail and trying to twist it into something it’s not. It’s crazy how bird brain individuals simply accept what they see online.”
