Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes Announce Opening Date for 1587 Prime Restaurant
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have revealed the opening date for their new steakhouse.
The Kansas City Chiefs teammates are set to launch 1587 Prime on Wednesday, September 17, in a location that feels just right: Kansas City, their beloved city.
“We both adore this city,” Kelce, 35, expressed in a video shared on the restaurant’s Instagram account on Monday, August 18. “What’s better than sharing a meal with great food, refreshing drinks, and a fantastic atmosphere?”
The tight end was seen tasting exquisite cuts of steak, delicious cheeseburgers, and fresh seafood alongside Mahomes, 29, who remarked, “Kansas City is passionate about food. This is something unique, and I believe the city will love it.”
Kelce described the menu as “mind-blowing.”
Regarding the decor, a preview of the restaurant highlighted a club-like, upscale atmosphere, featuring warm wood accents, elegant marble flooring, and a stylish central bar — ideal for business lunches, romantic dates, or even engagement celebrations.
“Precision in every detail. Power in every bite,” the 1587 Prime account noted in their post, stating, “Starting Wednesday, August 20 at 12pm CST, you can book your reservation for opening night and beyond.”
The Super Bowl champions first announced their culinary collaboration in March 2024. The duo partnered with hospitality group Noble 33 for this upcoming hotspot, situated in the Loews Kansas City hotel. The name pays homage to both of their jersey numbers. During the initial announcement, the owners hinted that the restaurant would be the “ultimate experiential dining destination.”
In a previous statement, Mahomes shared, “Travis and I have frequently dined at Noble 33 restaurants in other cities, so it only made sense to bring something extraordinary to our community in Kansas City.”
In May, Kelce offered the first glimpse of the restaurant’s interior and exterior on Instagram. A photo showcased a collection of footballs, each adorned with gold lettering reading, “1587 PRIME by Noble 33.” (Noble 33, based in Miami, boasts a portfolio of luxurious dining establishments.)
A video showcased the expansive construction site, featuring a grand staircase connecting the two floors and large front windows. Another clip showed construction workers in hard hats working diligently on the premises.
Originally, 1587 Prime was expected to open earlier this year. In a June episode of his “New Heights” podcast, Kelce nearly disclosed the grand opening date before seemingly stopping himself.
“You already know, baby. Opening up … soon,” he told his brother, Jason Kelce, during the conversation.
