Vanderpump Rules Season 12 Trailer Hints at New Feuds Following Recasting
The fresh ensemble of Vanderpump Rules aims to outshine their predecessors in the sneak peek of season 12, featuring everything from brawls in SUR’s back alley to discussions about penis pumps.
Bravo unveiled the official trailer on Monday, November 3, showcasing Lisa Vanderpump as she introduces the upcoming era of SURvers.
“It’s amusing, I used to say SUR was where you take your mistress, but now it’s probably where you meet her,” she comments. “I’ve always told my staff, give me anything but don’t give me boring.”
The preview quickly plunged into the drama when Demyana Selem tells the producers she “works with idiots,” transitioning to servers quarreling over whether a drink is “gay enough” for the menu. Another scene features an employee expressing to Lisa that after “two years” on the job, she feels her work family “hates” her.
Amid the conflicts, Venus Binkley asserts that the cast can “work, party, have sex.” There’s even a reference to a “penis pump,” with Marcus Johnson stating, “Athletes stretch, I pump. We all have our routines.”
This wouldn’t truly be Vanderpump Rules if it didn’t involve altercations in SUR’s back alley, coworkers in tumultuous relationships, and tears in the workplace.
“When it comes to bro code, you just don’t do that,” remarks one new cast member, while another scene involves a woman retorting to a friend, “You crossed a boundary with your texts to him.”
Lisa expresses optimism about the new group in a confessional, saying, “This is SUR, we are a family. They aren’t perfect, but they’re mine.”
The official synopsis notes that season 12 follows “a deep-rooted, dynamic group of friends, frenemies, and lovers who have been working for Lisa Vanderpump at SUR for years, and they are shaking things up—from pump-tinis to chaos. Although there are new uniforms and a few fresh faces, the drama remains as messy and complicated as that of their iconic predecessors.”
The show returns on Tuesday, December 2, after a significant overhaul. The Vanderpump Rules franchise originated as a spinoff of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, on which Lisa starred from 2010 to 2019. Scheana Shay helped launch Vanderpump Rules when she appeared alongside Brandi Glanville in a 2013 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to discuss her affair with Eddie Cibrian.
After over a decade, viewers found themselves divided on the franchise’s future due to Tom Sandoval‘s secret affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss while still in a relationship with Ariana Madix. The network confirmed in November 2024 that Vanderpump Rules would return—but with an entirely new cast.
“The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary journey filled with laughter, tears, and everything in between,” Lisa stated at the time. “I can’t express enough gratitude to those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always leads to another. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules.”
While Season 12 may pivot away from the past, the trailer includes a scene filmed at Ariana and Katie Maloney‘s Something About Her. Bravo is also airing a retrospective titled Raise Your Glass to 11 Seasons, highlighting the most iconic moments and previously unseen footage from the series before introducing the new cast.
The retrospective will air on Bravo Tuesday, November 25, at 9 p.m. ET. Season 12 of Vanderpump Rules premieres on Tuesday, December 2, at 9 p.m. ET.
