Watson’s Eve Harlow Hints at Ingrid’s Season 2 Journey with Noah Mills’ Beck

Season 2 of Watson has brought back Ingrid, showcasing her commitment to self-improvement. But how concerned should fans be with the introduction of NCIS: Hawai’i‘s Noah Mills as a potential troublemaker?

In the episode aired Monday, October 27, Ingrid (Eve Harlow) returned to the Holmes Clinic, only to be met with a lukewarm reception from her colleagues. Determined to make things right, she made strides with Stephens (Peter Mark Kendall) and Sasha (Inga Schlingmann), but challenges loomed with the arrival of Beck Wythe (Mills).

“The greatest challenge came with Beck. Ingrid is trying to better herself within this therapy group, yet the very temptation she’s trying to avoid is right in her path,” Harlow revealed to Us Weekly. “Beck is someone very similar to her, suggesting, ‘You should embrace who you are instead of pushing it away. Why would you want to discard that part of yourself?’”

Ingrid will grapple with the urge to revert to her mysterious ways.

“She aims to be good and heed her therapist’s advice—the angel on her shoulder. But suddenly, the little devil appears,” Harlow hinted. “Ingrid realizes that slipping back into her old behaviors is easier and more enjoyable for her. This makes Beck her most significant hurdle at this juncture.”

Watson, which debuted in January, centers on Dr. John Watson (Morris Chestnut) at his medical practice, where he addresses patients with unusual and hard-to-identify ailments. He receives assistance from his team, including the returning Ingrid. Her season 2 return follows her past revelation about keeping vital details hidden and inadvertently collaborating with Watson’s nemesis, Professor James Moriarty (Randall Park).

“The complexity of humanity is what makes it fascinating—the gray areas that exist. People seldom make choices that are purely right or wrong. This exploration is not only compelling but also relatable,” Harlow shared with Us regarding Ingrid’s journey. “We all strive to be good people, yet we stumble at times.”

As Harlow approached season 2, she emphasized her desire for Ingrid to maintain authenticity, saying, “It would have been far less engaging to approach it as if [her therapy] were just a façade. I approached the role with genuine faith that Ingrid genuinely wants to change.”

Despite her optimism for Ingrid, Harlow acknowledged that “people can struggle” during their transformation efforts.

“Change demands time and effort. Old habits can easily resurface,” the actress explained. “Even as she genuinely tries, it doesn’t mean the old Ingrid has vanished completely. There will always be a piece of that within her—it’s part of her nature.”

Harlow continued: “Last season, Ingrid was quite closed off. It was only as the episodes progressed that we saw some vulnerabilities as Sasha tried to reach her, and Watson worked to create a safe environment for her to open up. This season is different; she actively seeks change, although she is still learning how, which is why she joins this therapy group to seek help.”

Watson airs on CBS Mondays at 10 p.m. ET, with new episodes available for streaming the following day on Paramount+.
