Where to Stream the Best Picture Nominees for the 2025 Oscars
As the 2025 Oscars approach, it’s time to catch up on this year’s major films.
This year’s competition for the prestigious Best Picture award features ten films, with the 97th Academy Awards set to be broadcast on ABC on Sunday, March 2. The nominations were revealed on Thursday, January 23, with Emilia Pérez leading the pack with a total of 13 nominations, followed closely by The Brutalist and Wicked with 10 nods each.
All three films also garnered acting nominations for their stars, including Karla Sofía Gascón and Cynthia Erivo for Best Actress in a Leading Role, Zoe Saldaña and Ariana Grande for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, and Adrien Brody for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
Dune: Part Two and Nickel Boys stand out as the only Best Picture nominees without acting nods. Meanwhile, Best Picture contenders such as Mikey Madison and Demi Moore received their first Oscar nominations for their roles in Anora and The Substance, respectively.

‘Anora’
This film depicts Madison’s character, a sex worker who becomes infatuated with Ivan (Mark Eydelshteyn), the son of a Russian oligarch. However, their passionate relationship quickly turns into anything but a fairy tale when Ivan’s parents arrive in the U.S. and demand their marriage be annulled.

‘The Brutalist’
Brody portrays László Tóth, a Holocaust survivor and Hungarian-Jewish architect who relocates to the U.S. to build a new life. His family’s journey becomes complex and fraught with both positives and negatives after he accepts a position with the affluent Harrison Lee Van Buren (Guy Pearce).

‘A Complete Unknown’
This biopic recounts the formative years of Bob Dylan (Timothée Chalamet), culminating in his memorable electric guitar performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.

‘Conclave’
Conclave features a star-studded cast including Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, and John Lithgow as members of the College of Cardinals, attempting to elect the next pope. The selection process uncovers secrets that pose a threat to the Roman Catholic Church.

‘Dune: Part Two’
This sequel continues the story from 2021’s Dune, following Paul Atreides (Chalamet) as he teams with the Fremen for vengeance against those who betrayed his family.

‘Emilia Perez’
A cartel leader (Gascón) employs a lawyer (Saldaña) to stage their death to initiate gender-affirming surgery and commence a new life as Emilia Pérez. However, her fresh start faces threats as her ex-wife (portrayed by Selena Gomez) seeks to take their family away to be closer to her new lover (played by Édgar Ramírez).

‘I’m Still Here’
Set in Brazil, this film follows Fernanda Torres as a woman striving to keep her family intact while unearthing the truth behind her husband’s mysterious disappearance.

‘Nickel Boys’
Nickel Boys portrays the friendship between Elwood (Ethan Herisse) and Turner (Brandon Wilson) as they endure life in a brutal reform school in the1960s Jim Crow South.

‘The Substance’
After her career stalls when she turns 50, Elisabeth Sparkle (Moore) resorts to using the titular drug to create a younger version of herself, Sue (Margaret Qualley). This decision leads to dangerous and gruesome side effects as the two personas battle for control over their shared existence.

‘Wicked’
