Which Bachelor Couples Are Still Together Today?

In 2002, a remarkable long-stemmed red rose altered the landscape of reality television forever. That year, “The Bachelor” made its debut, introducing audiences to Alex Michel on his quest to find true love while dating multiple women.

Two decades later, the franchise has birthed several spinoffs including “The Bachelorette” in 2003, “Bachelor in Paradise” in 2014, and most recently, “The Golden Bachelor.”

The show has cultivated a dedicated following known as Bachelor Nation with each new season.

To date, there have been 28 seasons of “The Bachelor.” Teaching tennis professional Joey Graziadei was the latest lead, proposing to his fiancée Kelsey Anderson at the conclusion of his season, and they’ve been sharing their love story since the finale aired on March 25.

After some seasons had dual leads, there have been 22 bachelorettes so far. Among them is Charity Lawson, who fell in love with Dotun Olubeko in the latest installment. Additionally, Gerry Turner was the first lead of “The Golden Bachelor” in 2023.

While many seasons culminate in a proposal, numerous couples have publicly split just months later. The most recent case involves “Golden Bachelor” star Gerry and his wife Theresa Nist, who revealed their divorce on April 12.

Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo, who met on Season 13 of “The Bachelorette,” tied the knot in August 2019 but announced their separation in January.

Although it is true that many couples don’t end up getting married after the show, recent seasons have demonstrated an increasing success rate — and some couples from earlier seasons still thrive.

Explore the happy couples from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” who have successfully found love in the world of reality television below.

‘The Golden Bachelor’ couple

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist (Season 1)

The inaugural season of “The Golden Bachelor,” featuring contestants aged 60 to 75 on their quest for love, culminated in an engagement … along with a wedding special.

However, just three months following their televised wedding, Gerry Turner, 72, and Theresa Nist, 70, announced their divorce, sharing their decision during an ABC News interview on April 12.

“We’ve closely examined our situation and living conditions and mutually concluded that it’s time to dissolve our marriage,” Gerry shared.

Both Gerry and Theresa had experienced the loss of their high school sweethearts due to unexpected illnesses, which fostered a connection between them during their courtship.

‘The Bachelorette’ couples

Trista Sutter and Ryan Sutter (Season 1)

The Sutters are parents to two children: 16-year-old son Maxwell and 14-year-old daughter Blakesley.

In recent years, their family has faced some health challenges. In June 2022, Trista and Ryan opened up about Ryan’s Lyme Disease diagnosis in 2021.

“For a long time, my focus was solely on surviving each day,” he told People. “However, I feel my life is coming back, which is very encouraging.” Trista added, “Ryan is our everyday hero, so seeing him struggle weighs heavily on me.”

Fortunately, Ryan reported feeling “better” after finding a successful treatment and resumed his backpacking trips with their children.

On June 18, Trista shared a heartfelt tribute to Ryan on Instagram celebrating Father’s Day.

“We love him to infinity and beyond for all the little moments, big moments, and everything in between,” she wrote alongside a video of Ryan’s cherished moments with their children. “To the best father and the love of my life… Happy Father’s Day.”

Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried (Season 9)

Desiree Hartsock Siegfried encountered a slightly turbulent finale to her season when one of her frontrunners, Brooks Forester, broke up with her during fantasy suite week. Nevertheless, she moved on and accepted a proposal from Chris Siegfried.

Desiree and Chris shared a profound connection throughout her season, though many fans initially doubted her choice. She consistently defended their love and her decision to be with him.

Over a decade later, Desiree and Chris’s relationship is thriving, countering all doubts. They now have two sons: Asher, 6, and Zander, 4.

Their love story flourishes on social media, where the couple regularly shares sweet insights into their marriage and heartfelt moments.

In May 2022, JoJo shared an adorable Instagram video featuring highlights from the proposal and the first night she met Jordan.

“Six years with you. Here’s to forever, my love. Happy Anniversary,” she wrote in the caption.

‘The Bachelor’ couples

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici (Season 17)

Among the 26 seasons of “The Bachelor,” Sean Lowe stands out as the single lead who married his final pick: Catherine Giudici.

The couple’s love story was one of the show’s most captivating. Catherine was not involved in the drama of Season 17, thus receiving limited screen time, but by the time of the hometown dates, the chemistry and connection were undeniable.

Their televised wedding took place in 2014, and since then, they have welcomed three children: 7-year-old son Samuel, 5-year-old son Isaiah, and 3-year-old daughter Mia.

On July 13, Sean shared an affectionate family photo, complete with a dad joke in the caption.

“I think it’s crucial to travel with your kids while they’re young so they can experience what chicken fingers taste like in different countries,” he humorously noted.

“…and we would be so happy,” she sweetly remarked in the caption on June 29.

Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar (Season 27)

Their bond grew stronger with each episode. Zach could vividly imagine his life with Kaity after visiting her hometown of Austin, Texas, where he also resides. However, they experienced a hiccup during Fantasy Suites Week.

Initially, Zach informed contestants Gabi Elnicki and Ariel Frenkel that he wished to avoid physical closeness. He later reconsidered and confided in Kaity about his fantasy suite date with Gabi during a heartfelt conversation.

Kaity questioned why Zach needed to share insights about his other relationships, but they quickly resolved their conflict, culminating in his proposal during the finale.

Since the season wrapped, the couple has participated in several engagement photoshoots and frequently post moments together.

In February 2024, they traveled to Dubai, sharing a photo of themselves dining and enjoying champagne on the beach.

“The most romantic night,” Kaity captioned the post.

Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson (Season 28)

During the Season 28 finale, host Jesse Palmer remarked that Joey Graziadei might be the best bachelor in the show’s history, a sentiment echoed by Bachelor Nation who adored his attentive nature and caring demeanor. His connection with Kelsey Anderson was remarkable.

As the finale approached, Kelsey and Daisy Kent were his final two choices. However, it became increasingly clear to Daisy, along with viewers, that Kelsey shared a unique bond with Joey.

Kelsey expressed her emotions while meeting Joey’s family during their one-on-one times. Their final date featured a relaxing spa day that highlighted their similar quirky personalities. That evening, Joey reassured Kelsey about his feelings for her.

Aware of her status, Daisy confronted Joey on proposal day, telling him, “As much as this pains me, I know you want the best for me, and that means I need to leave.”

Kelsey then made a stunning entrance in a fringe white gown, her hair billowing in the wind. Upon professing his love for her, Joey got down on one knee and proposed, to which she enthusiastically responded, “Yes!”

“Just checking in as the luckiest guy in the world…” Joey began in his thoughtful caption.

He recounted receiving an invitation from a producer in January 2023 about potentially applying for “The Bachelorette.”

“Today, I realize it was hands down the best decision of my life. Everything that unfolded after has led me to this incredible woman, who is unlike anyone I have met before,” he wrote.

He continued, “She is kind, beautiful, fun-loving, genuine, and my guiding light.”

Joey reaffirmed the sweet sentiment he expressed during the proposal: “I always knew I wanted a beautiful life, but I never realized how beautiful it could be until you came into my life.”

As he concluded the post, he declared, “I love you forever Kelsey. This is just the start.”

Kelsey shared the post on her Instagram story, revealing the playful nickname she has for her fiancé.
