Which Paradise Stars Are Returning for Season 3, and Which Aren’t?

Hulu’s acclaimed series Paradise is set to return for its third season after the dramatic demise of several pivotal characters—so who will be back and who won’t?

Initially premiered in January 2025, the series portrayed a seemingly idyllic and affluent community thrust into chaos by a shocking murder. However, the political thriller created by Dan Fogelman took a surprising turn when it was revealed that Paradise was, in fact, an underground bunker sheltering the world’s elite following an apocalyptic event that left the rest of humanity in ruins.

Though Paradise has been renewed for a third season, executive producer John Hoberg hinted to The Hollywood Reporter in February that the Hulu series is nearing its conclusion.

“We know how it all ends, and it’s an outcome that would make it challenging to create a fourth season,” he stated, mentioning that Fogelman designed Paradise with a three-season narrative in mind.

“We understood we were in the bunker from the first season, and we knew that Xavier was going on a quest to find his wife in season two,” he elaborated. “We were also aware that we were moving towards a clash of two distinct worlds. Having that initial setup and destination in mind helps define the significant milestones along the journey.”

Sterling K. Brown

Disney/Ser Baffo

The existence of Paradise owes much to Brown, who plays a vital role as both the lead actor and an executive producer.

Julianne Nicholson

Disney/Ser Baffo

Season 2 witnessed Sinatra’s downfall, culminating in her character’s death. While there is speculation about Julianne Nicholson’s return in season 3, it would likely not be in present-day scenes.

Sarah Shahi

Disney/Brian Roedel

Gabriela made a comeback in season 2 and is anticipated to return in the forthcoming episodes.

Nicole Brydon Bloom

It seems unlikely that Nicole Brydon Bloom will return after her character Jane was killed off.

Enuka Okuma

Disney/Ser Baffo

Having been introduced as Xavier’s wife, Enuka Okuma generally seems poised for a return to her role.

James Marsden

While flashbacks of the president appeared in seasons 1 and 2, could time travel create opportunities for more glimpses of him?

Thomas Doherty

Although Thomas Doherty had a recurring guest role, it appears that Link could remain a significant presence on the show.

Shailene Woodley

Disney/Ser Baffo

Shailene Woodley is not expected to return in the new season following her character Annie’s demise.

Ryan Michelle Bathé

Disney/Ser Baffo

Sterling K. Brown’s real-life wife had a brief role in season 2, but that storyline appears to be concluded.
