Who Does Morena Baccarin’s Character Mickey Hook Up With in the Sheriff Country Sex Scene?
Sheriff Country has already hinted at a sizzling scene featuring Morena Baccarin‘s character, Mickey Fox — but who is the enigmatic man?
Following the official trailer that reveals Mickey in the shower with a potential love interest, showrunner Matt Lopez spoke exclusively with Us Weekly, stating, “This character will remain unnamed for now. However, I can assure you that this character will surprise us when he steps onto the screen.”
Lopez mentioned that “there will be a variety of surprises” coming our way.
“The relationship is truly captivating. As we explore Mickey’s journey, we see that since her divorce from Travis, her romantic entanglements have been sparse and temporary,” he elaborated. “This character, the mystery man in the shower, and their connection begin in a certain way but have the potential to develop into something much deeper — if Mickey allows it.”
Mickey’s romantic journey is not without hurdles, with Lopez adding, “She is a character who wears some armor. She has placed her trust in others, only to have it betrayed. She doesn’t openly express her emotions and isn’t one to dive in headfirst.”
Lopez concluded: “She is cautious. Can she lower her defenses long enough to explore a meaningful connection? That question will be explored on screen.”
After her introduction on Fire Country, Baccarin, 46, plays Sheriff Mickey Fox in Sheriff Country. The spinoff, which debuted earlier this month, follows Mickey as she investigates crimes and patrols her small town, all while managing her ex-con father and being entangled in a murder case with her daughter as the prime suspect.
“The mystery won’t last the entire season. It will seem to resolve, but there will be ongoing ripples and twists that extend into the season,” Lopez explained to Us, promising “exciting plot twists” ahead. “Just when you believe something has been resolved or understood, we will encourage the audience to question if what they initially saw is truly what occurred. We enjoy that type of storytelling.”
Even with the high stakes, Lopez hinted that viewers shouldn’t stress too much about their favorite characters facing dire consequences.
“In the context of Fire Country, it would somewhat undermine the gravity of the dangers these characters face in real fire situations — and for Sheriff Country, in metaphorical fire situations,” he shared. “Continuing to tell stories where they emerge from life-threatening scenarios completely unharmed wouldn’t align with our storytelling.”
Lopez added: “There must be genuine stakes in these episodes. We have plans to put some characters in intense situations, but I’m not ready to start unzipping body bags just yet. It’s still early for that.”
Sheriff Country airs on CBS Fridays at 8 p.m. ET.
