Who Will Claim Victory in Love Island USA Season 7? Islanders Share Their Predictions

Fresh from the villa, Us Weekly caught up with recently dumped Love Island USA contestants to discuss the final days of season 7.

First up is Nicolandria. Even before Cierra left the show early, fans on social media were buzzing about the possibility of a relationship between Nic and Olandria. Although they initially claimed there wasn’t much chemistry—despite sharing a kiss during Soul Ties—Cierra and Taylor’s departures opened the door for the duo. So, is it the real deal?

“I’d say it’s 50/50,” Zak told Us. “They displayed a hint of chemistry, but after that kiss in Soul Ties, they both reacted with, ‘That felt weird.’ It’s evident that there wasn’t a genuine connection. It might just be a friendship—enjoying each other’s company.”

Zak expressed his confusion over Olandria’s quick shift toward Nic after her friend Cierra’s exit.

“When they talked to Cierra and she said, ‘No, you’re my girl. I’m glad he’s with you,’ I was puzzled. She called Cierra her best friend, yet transitioned so quickly to him after Cierra left—did they really have that friendship? Especially since they had just both shut down emotionally,” Zak questioned. “It left me baffled. But I get why they chose each other given their history.”

Olandria’s previous partner, Taylor, countered that Olandria and Nic were “interested in each other from the very beginning.”

“They never had the chance to fully explore it. Now that they do, I really hope it’s something real and they can work out together, which is what the show is all about,” Taylor told Us. “I really wish they find they’re meant for each other since they’ve been coupled up multiple times.”

TJ is also rooting for them. “Nic has always had fun with Olandria, and he’s had his eye on her since I’ve been around,” he said to Us. “I hope it’s genuine. They enjoy each other’s company, and I support it. Nic is my guy and Olandria is awesome. Now that Taylor and Cierra are out, they can truly focus on one another. They tried during Casa Amor but couldn’t completely dive in with Taylor and Cierra around.”

Another hot topic this season is Huda and the heart rate challenge.

“We all agreed—pretty much the entire group—that she took it too far with Ace,” Andreina shared with Us. “We wondered why she chose Ace for those extra antics when he was in a solid couple with Chelley, who is a close friend of hers. I don’t think she realized the impact of her actions, but we all felt she went a bit overboard.”

TJ described it as “a big misunderstanding” for everyone involved. “People misconstrued it, and she thought her actions were acceptable since it was a challenge. I see both sides; many are concerned, perhaps overreacting online,” he added.

Andreina noted there’s more tension with Huda in the villa that hasn’t been shown. “She’s open about her feelings, which is great, but sometimes her actions raise questions. Like, why say or do something that could upset someone?” she said. “I don’t think she’s a bad person; she just makes choices that leave us puzzled.”

As the finale approaches on Sunday, July 13, many Islanders are betting on Ace and Chelley to win, despite earlier voting challenges not favoring them.

“I’d pick Ace and Chelley because the other couples are still new, and it’s hard to determine if those connections are genuine,” Andreina told Us. “The winners should be a couple that has consistently shown their growth and effort throughout the season, and among those left, they fit that description.”

TJ acknowledged the buzz surrounding Ace online: “Some fans think Ace is trying to control the show, which I don’t agree with. He has strong opinions, but ultimately everyone has the freedom to make their own choices.”

He also suspects that speculation about Ace and Chelley’s pre-show relationship may affect their chances. “People believe they had a thing prior, and that makes it seem pre-planned, which can rub fans the wrong way. I think they’re both great individuals and Ace is hilarious,” TJ commented.

On the topic of whether Ace and Chelley joined the show as a team, TJ said, “I only know they knew each other because they mentioned it in the first episode. I hope it wasn’t planned; that would be a letdown. But I genuinely believe they’re both authentic.”

Another potential winner could be Amaya and Bryan, as she has captured the hearts of fans this season. “Honestly, I think Amaya and Bryan will win,” TJ stated. “But if we consider connections and longevity, Ace and Chelley have that. They’ve had an up-and-down relationship since the start, but Amaya and Bryan seem best positioned to win. I support all the couples, but Amaya and Bryan seem likely to take it home.”

Zak, Amaya’s previous connection, isn’t as convinced. “He defended her once, but he never expressed wanting to get to know her more throughout the season. I found it confusing when he suddenly said he wanted to talk to Amaya,” he remarked.

Andreina, Bryan’s former partner, added, “I adore Amaya and believe she deserves a great guy. I’m not in the loop anymore, so I can’t speak to their authenticity as a couple, but I just hope he treats her well—better than he did with me.”

Taylor aligns more with TJ’s viewpoint. “I think Amaya and Bryan will likely win. However, I want Ace and Chelley to win because they’ve invested so much in each other. But with Amaya and Bryan, she seems to have found someone truly compatible, so they might take it,” he concluded.

New episodes of Love Island USA stream on Peacock every weekday, except Wednesday, starting at 9 p.m. ET.
