Zac Affleck Shares Heartwarming Photos with Newborn Daughter Penelope
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Zac Affleck is capturing his newborn daughter Penelope’s first week of life.
Zac, 28, took to Instagram on Sunday, July 6, to post a series of photos and videos featuring little Penelope — who is already getting acquainted with the ups and downs of MomTok!
“One week with our Penny girl 🤍 Check out the last video for her take on reality TV 😂😝,” he captioned the post, which includes a clip of Zac and his wife Jen, 26, watching the recent Mormon Wives: Reunion Special.
“Who are these people?” Zac joked in the video as he held the baby. The camera then shifted to Jen, who quipped, “These people are crazy. F***ing crazy.”
The series also features images of Zac holding baby Penelope in the hospital, along with an adorable shot of the newborn grinning in her sleep. (The couple also shares daughter Nora, 3, and son Lucas, 23 months.)
Jen announced the birth of the couple’s new addition via Instagram on Wednesday, July 2. “Baby Penelope is here & she is perfect,” Jen captioned a collection of photos from her birthing suite. “Going unmedicated was genuinely the most painful yet empowering experience of my life. I couldn’t have achieved this without Zac and my supportive doula! I am so grateful and overjoyed that Penny is now with us.”
Jen’s Mormon Wives costar Mayci Neely, who is expecting her third child, commented on the post: “I love her already 🥹 can’t wait for all our girls to become best friends 🫶🏼🩷.”
Mikayla Matthews, who is expecting her fourth child, remarked: “Penelope🥹 you’re incredible ❤️ can’t wait for our sweet girls to meet.”
“Welcome home Penny 🥹 so proud of you Jen, congrats on the new addition to the family,” stated MomTok leader Taylor Frankie Paul.
Jessi Ngatikaura added, “She’s perfect!! Can’t wait to meet her 💗.”
Following Penelope’s birth, Zac shared a heartfelt tribute to his wife on Instagram, commending Jen’s strength during delivery.
“Our doula told her, ‘You have to go to the stars to bring this baby back.’ I don’t think either of us anticipated how intense natural birth would actually be,” he wrote. “It was a spiritual experience filled with every conceivable emotion — one of the most bonding experiences we’ve shared. It gave me a newfound level of appreciation and love for my wife that I didn’t know was possible.”
Zac continued to express his admiration, “I am truly in awe of how incredible women are, what their bodies endure, and what they can achieve. I love you, Jen, and I am deeply grateful for you bringing our beautiful children into this world.”
