Zach and Tori Roloff reflect on their experience with Little People, Big World after officially leaving the show last year.

“I’m not sure we truly miss [the show] since we’re now sharing our lives the way we want, which is actually a gift,” Tori, 33, commented on the Wednesday, February 5, episode of Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo’s self-titled podcast. “We have more control over the narrative we present, especially concerning our kids.”

Both Tori and Zach, 34, mentioned that while they don’t miss filming, they do cherish the “connections” they formed behind the camera. Zach appeared on the TLC show, which began in 2006, alongside parents Matt and Amy and siblings Jeremy, Molly, and Jacob. The series depicted their family life as they managed a farm in Oregon.

Zach met Tori while they both worked on the farm. They got married in 2015 and are now parents to three children: Jackson Kyle, 7, Lilah Ray, 5, and Josiah Luke, 2. In February 2024, they shared their decision to exit Little People, Big World.

Zach and Tori Roloff have officially announced their exit from TLC’s Little People, Big World after 25 seasons. “We are not coming back to Little People, Big World. Like, we are done,” Tori, 31, stated in a YouTube video posted on Thursday, February 22. “That chapter has closed.” Zach, 33, supported his wife’s comments…

Although they are content with their decision to leave, Zach expressed some ambivalence about the possibility of a return to television with their family in the future.

“It gets tricky. There are days when I think, ‘Oh, maybe we could do it again,’ but then I recall certain moments that frustrated me at the time, whether justified or not,” he reflected on Wednesday. “It’s important to remind ourselves why we stepped away, but some mornings, after too much coffee, I think, ‘We could revisit this.’”

One thing Zach does not miss is the confessional interviews that were part of the show.

“It’s challenging for me to repeat something multiple times, as it tends to change its significance,” he mentioned. “When I say it’s not a big deal, but then it starts to feel like one because of how many times I have to say it.”

Tori shared similar thoughts, noting that it was difficult for her to revisit “conflicts” on the show after they had been resolved months prior.

“Whenever we had a disagreement and then six months later, it gets brought up again, it’s frustrating,” she recalled. “We had already moved past it, but we still had to address it.”

Tori emphasized that when her marital struggles appeared on the show, it became difficult for both her and Zach, as they prefer to handle issues privately.

“We’re not the type to argue publicly. If we have a disagreement while out or with friends, we just give each other a look and discuss it later. We always handle things privately,” she explained. “When the situation turned into ‘You guys have to argue about this,’ it felt awkward because we are not actors.”

Since leaving reality TV, Zach and Tori are exploring what lies ahead for their family. They expressed a desire to keep their fans updated through various online platforms.

“With YouTube being so prevalent now, returning to a traditional reality TV model is difficult,” Zach noted. “You have the ability to control your own media and still attract a significant audience.”
