5 Editors Agree: Haus Labs Foundation Lives Up to the TikTok Hype Despite Lady Gaga’s impressive talent for keeping her makeup flawless through egg entrances, lengthy film shoots, and two-hour performances suspended 30 feet in the air at the Chromatica Ball, she hadn’t released a foundation until now under her revamped beauty line, Haus Laboratories.
Despite Lady Gaga’s incredible talent in maintaining her makeup during wild performances, she had not yet introduced a foundation under her rebranded beauty line, Haus Laboratories. It’s likely due to the fact that foundation is one of the most challenging makeup products to perfect.
However, Gaga was committed to getting it right. Drawing from her extensive makeup knowledge—especially for the red carpet or stage—the Haus Labs team has developed the Triclone Skin Tech Foundation. Available in 51 shades with medium to full coverage, it is designed to perform just like you’d expect from a track like “Rain on Me”: lightweight, durable, and suited for diverse skin tones. And it’s accessible, with availability across 480 Sephora stores.

The Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation contains an array of skin-friendly ingredients, including fermented arnica to reduce redness and a special blend of antioxidants to shield the skin from environmental damage. The packaging is eco-conscious too; it’s made from recyclable glass with labels printed on sustainably sourced paper.
To truly evaluate whether this new entry in the celebrity beauty industry meets expectations, we had five PS editors with various skin types and tones test the foundation. Keep reading to find out who loved it and who didn’t.

Review: “This foundation amazed me in the best way. I have a hard time finding my exact shade and often mix foundations or skip them altogether. This foundation, while slightly dark, matched my skin beautifully. A few swipes of brightening concealer fixed the color. With acne-prone skin, I prefer my foundation to have decent coverage, especially in cooler months. This formula concealed my acne marks impeccably without feeling heavy or cakey. I think I’ve found my holy-grail foundation.” — Ariel Baker, former associate editor, Beauty

Review: “I’m picky about foundation—I’ve used the same one since 2018 despite testing countless others. This foundation pleasantly surprised me. It felt lightweight, blended easily, and held in place after being set with powder. However, I have combination skin and noticed it settled into a couple of dry patches. Nonetheless, I’d recommend it to those with normal or oily skin looking for a full-coverage foundation that feels light.” — Kelsey Castañon, senior content director

Review: “The foundation shade I tried was a bit darker than I usually prefer, but I made it work with a lighter concealer. It’s on the fuller coverage side, yet lightweight and buildable. Surprising how a little goes a long way—I only needed 1.5 pumps for a good coverage! It felt light and moved with my skin, even in heat and humidity, providing a beautiful, skin-like finish. Great for everyday use, whether casual or formal.” — Anvita Reddy, former assistant editor, Shopping

Review: “Just a few dabs of this foundation go a long way—exactly how I prefer my makeup. It offers ample coverage and blends seamlessly with my other products (like concealer and blush). However, after a few days of wear, I started breaking out along my cheeks, possibly because my skin is sensitive and I rarely stray from my usual products. Though it won’t replace my go-to foundation, it’s easy to apply and provides all-day wear.” — Shelcy Joseph, former associate editor, Fashion

Review: “I thought I wouldn’t be changing my foundation soon, but Lady Gaga’s new formula has successfully altered my routine. It works excellently with my normal to oily skin, especially given its liquid texture. It’s also impressive in terms of blendability and compatibility with my skin tone, as I typically mix foundations to achieve a perfect match. After almost a month of use, it’s indeed a staple in my everyday makeup.” — Naomi Parris, assistant editor, Shopping
