Cost of Belly’s Engagement Ring in The Summer I Turned Pretty Unveiled

Belly’s engagement ring from The Summer I Turned Pretty has gained significant attention due to its size, but what’s the price tag?

It appears that Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) won’t be stressing too much over extra college debt. The ring he presented to Belly (Lola Tung) during the episode aired on Wednesday, July 23, has been identified as the Catbird’s Diamond Fizz Ring Sparkler, which is made of 14k gold and retails for $298.

This episode has left an impression on fans after Belly and Jeremiah disrupted a festive lunch with their family by announcing their engagement. Unbeknownst to most at the table, this proposal came just days after Belly discovered that Jeremiah had cheated on her not once, but twice.

Belly and Jeremiah’s relatives were outraged by their decision, and things only got more tense when the bride-to-be flaunted her ring.

“Belly saying she wishes she could wear the ring when no one would even notice,” a fan remarked on X, while another chimed in, “The ring is so small you can’t even tell she’s wearing it.”

Viewers resonated with Belly’s friend Taylor, who commented, “Is it a diamond or just a small piece of tinfoil?” Even the official social media account for the Empire State Building got in on the fun by posting a TikTok about the “microscopic” accessory.

As Season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty progresses, fans remain divided into Team Jeremiah and Team Conrad. The series, inspired by Jenny Han’s book trilogy, portrays Belly’s conflicting affections for Conrad (Chris Briney) and, later, his brother.

With the final season approaching, both the cast and Prime Video have urged viewers to temper their reactions regarding the conclusion.

“Cousins is our safe haven. Everything good and magical. Let’s keep the discussions positive this summer,” a July post from Prime Video stated. “We have a ZERO tolerance policy for bullying and hate speech. Engage in any of the following, and you will be banned.”

The statement implored fans to refrain from “hate speech or bullying directed towards our cast or crew and from harassing or doxxing community members.”

Tung, 22, previously advocated for fans to take a more balanced approach when their emotional investment in the characters goes too far. “When folks connect with the characters, they want to see a happy ending,” she mentioned in an interview with Teen Vogue before the premiere. “I’m thankful that they care, but sometimes it can get a bit intense.”

Tung further remarked: “Please don’t resort to threats if the storyline doesn’t meet your expectations—I assure you, it’s not that serious. Jenny is incredibly insightful and genuinely cares about telling the best story possible. Everything will be alright.”

The Summer I Turned Pretty is available on Prime Video every Wednesday.
