Trista Sutter and Courtney Robertson Open Up About Their Feud on Podcast

The relationship between Bachelor Nation’s Trista Sutter and Courtney Robertson doesn’t appear to be in good spirits.

“I’ve met numerous individuals from Bachelor Nation, and when I finished my season and attended that Bachelor Mansion event in Malibu — they were just about to announce Sean Lowe [as Bachelor] — many people reached out to show their support. You didn’t give me the time of day,” Courtney, 43, claimed to Trista, 53, during the Monday, August 10, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Almost Famous” podcast. “Chris Harrison was present, and you treated me poorly.”

Trista appeared visibly taken aback by Courtney’s comments and denied that she ever treated The Bachelor alum like “poorly.”

Although she admitted that previous social media posts and podcast appearances made her uncomfortable, Trista recalled emailing Courtney as she prepared to launch her 2014 book, Confessions of a Reality Show Villain.

“I sent you an email when I learned about your book, and I noticed ‘Trista’s terrible tweets’ and the podcast,” Trista revealed. “‘Olive branch’ was the subject line, and I wrote, ‘I’m genuinely sorry that I hurt your feelings.’ Your response was, ‘I fully accept your apology.’”

Courtney seemingly retrieved past emails and read her reply to Trista, which said, “I don’t want you to ever think I was attacking you. … Your apology means a lot to me and is completely accepted.”

Regarding why this past drama is resurfacing now, Trista and Courtney found themselves on a weekend trip to Lake Tahoe with iHeartRadio earlier this month.

At the beginning of the trip, Trista stated that Courtney wanted “space” as she navigated a public divorce from Humberto Preciado.

“This was not my idea, by the way, so please don’t hold it against me,” Trista shared. “I just wanted you to enjoy yourself here. … I’m feeling anxious. I’m on the verge of a panic attack.”

Courtney responded, “I have a lot going on right now, and this isn’t comfortable for me. I’ve been experiencing panic attacks all day due to what I’m dealing with personally. I probably should have skipped this trip. It feels a bit selfish to try to sit here and resolve things.”

However, an “Almost Famous” podcast producer named Heather interjected, stating that the aim of the recording was “resolution” rather than conflict.

The Bachelor alum Courtney Robertson is speaking out about her ongoing divorce from estranged husband Humberto Preciado. “What I’m experiencing involves infidelity and differing parenting styles, and I’d say it’s still early days,” Robertson, 43, revealed during the Saturday, August 8, episode of iHeartRadio’s “I Do, Part 2” podcast. “I’ve been reflecting on […]

As the podcast concluded dramatically, Trista expressed empathy for Courtney as she deals with a public divorce.

“I feel very maternal towards anyone involved in this show who is part of the Bachelor Nation family,” she stated. “I can love everyone. We don’t have to like each other. You’re not required to like me.”

Courtney replied, “For some reason, you and I don’t mesh, and I believe it’s because we’ve had completely different experiences. I am the type of person who fights, and I don’t want to come off as hostile. I’m over it. I just think we have very different personality types.”
