RHOC’s Shannon Clarifies Whether Katie is ‘Worse’ Than Tamra and Alexis
Shannon Beador is not shy about expressing her anger after Katie Ginella confessed to recording her without permission during a cast photo shoot.
“I was extremely shocked, and her actions are quite strange,” Shannon, 61, told Us Weekly on Thursday, July 24, while promoting The Real Housewives of Orange County. “I was trying to assist her and offer advice so she could mend things with everyone. Ultimately, there’s no positive reasoning or intention behind secretly recording someone.”
In Thursday’s episode, Shannon confronted Katie, 41, at Heather Dubrow’s lavish birthday celebration, declaring, “I will never, ever talk to you again.”
“You are the most malicious person I have ever encountered,” she stated as Bravo cameras captured the moment. “This girl… worse than Alexis Bellino. Worse than Tamra Judge. We’re finished.”
When Us inquired whether she still endorsed her assessment, Shannon seemed to reconsider slightly.
“Well, I might soon say they’re equally bad,” she playfully hinted.
As the dynamics within the cast continue to unfold, the former Love Hotel star mentioned she has no plans to pursue legal action against Katie.
“I’m not going that route. It takes so much energy to go through something like that, but it was a breach of trust, and I felt very violated,” Shannon stated. “I don’t like that some people are trying to shift focus onto my behavior that day.”
Katie claimed she recorded Shannon during the photo shoot after Shannon interrupted a crucial Zoom call and has since expressed remorse for her actions.
Tamra, 57, mentioned that Shannon arrived two hours late to the cast event, where she and Katie were sharing a dressing area.
She also claimed Shannon was “furious that Alexis was there concurrently” and “began yelling and cursing” into her phone while Katie was engaged on a business call with her husband.
Shannon had a conflict with Alexis — who is now engaged to her ex John Janssen — in season 18. Alexis has left the series since then.
No matter the situation, Shannon asserted there was never an appropriate reason for anyone to record her without consent.
“Nothing you say ever adds up,” she countered to Katie during Thursday’s episode. “I’ve really hit rock bottom with these women in this group. Never once has anyone recorded me behind my back.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Bravo Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET. You can stream previous episodes anytime on Peacock.
