Lea Michele: What’s Inside My Bag?

Lea Michele is a celebrated Broadway actress and a mother of two, which is clearly reflected in the contents of her daily bag.

“I carry a substantial mom bag,” Michele, 38, shares exclusively in her What’s in My Bag? segment featured in the current issue of Us Weekly, available now. “When I’m in New York City, I prefer it to have a closure on top to avoid having all my belongings exposed from my big Mary Poppins bag.”

Michele, who is gearing up to star in Chess on Broadway this autumn, mentions that her black Loewe Puzzle Fold tote (priced at $2,350) symbolizes her readiness and organization as well as her health-conscious nature.

As she prepares for the back-to-school season with her husband Zandy Reich and their kids, Ever, 4, and Emery, 11 months, it’s fitting that the Glee alumna has teamed up with Lysol for their HERE for Healthy Schools initiative, providing parents with easy tips to mitigate germ spread.

“I consider myself a minimalist at home and in my bag, but everything I carry is organized and ready for use,” Michele tells Us. “I only carry essentials and keep them orderly to avoid feeling overwhelmed.”

“As a mother of two, this is a must-have in both my home and bag,” Michele explains to Us. “I keep a travel-sized version with me for my kids, and I use it too—on my lips or any cracked skin. We are a big Aquaphor family, both at home and while traveling.”
