How Lili Reinhart Concealed Acne on the Red Carpet While Filming Riverdale

Lili Reinhart opened up about her challenges with acne in the spotlight.

At 28, Reinhart shared her experiences of using hairstyles to hide her troublesome breakouts during red carpet events and while filming Riverdale, which ran from 2017 to 2023, in a TikTok video posted on Wednesday, August 20.

“I used to create fake bangs that I didn’t have to cover my acne,” she admitted, emphasizing the importance of placement. “I made a fake bang to span the center of my forehead.” She revealed, “I would often get this terrible pimple right in the middle of my face — a cystic one — that you just couldn’t conceal.”

“On the set of Riverdale, we referred to it as a ‘Beauty Pass,’” the actress explained. “If you had a noticeable breakout that you wanted to keep hidden, they could digitally alter it out of the shot, almost like applying a filter.” She recounted a specific instance she utilized the “Beauty Pass,” during season 2 when she performed “Mad World.”
