Emily Blunt and John Krasinski’s Insightful Quotes on Raising Daughters
Although Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have earned accolades as actors and directors, they consider parenthood to be their most significant accomplishment.
Blunt and Krasinski—who tied the knot in 2010—welcomed their daughters, Hazel and Violet, in February 2014 and June 2016, respectively. The couple enjoys showering their little ones with love, although Hazel and Violet are less interested in their parents’ professional lives.
“They usually don’t care to see me on screen, but they are big fans of Jungle Cruise,” Blunt joked during a July 2021 appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan, referencing her Disney movie with Dwayne Johnson. “They adore the jaguar, love DJ, and are fascinated by the dynamic and the entire world. It brings me so much joy!”
Years later, their daughters started picking up Blunt’s elegant phrasing after the family relocated.
“They’ve really been in a proper school with uniforms,” the Wild Mountain Thyme actress shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in December 2020. “Miraculously, they’re sounding quite British, which totally delights me.”
She continued: “[Violet] sent me a video, well, she didn’t actually send it but someone did, of her singing ‘Jingle Bells,’ and she sings, ‘Jingle ol’ da waye!’ Almost like a Cockney accent. It was reminiscent of Dick Van Dyke singing ‘Jingle Bells.’ The craziest accent ever—it was quite brilliant.”
