Todd Chrisley Claims He Hasn’t Interacted with Chase’s Girlfriend Jodi
Todd Chrisley mentioned that he hasn’t spent much time with his son Chase Chrisley’s girlfriend, Jodi Laine Fournerat.
“Chase, I hope he finds a beautiful and fulfilling personal life with a relationship that nurtures his soul,” Todd, 56, remarked during the season finale of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality on Tuesday, September 16. “I want him to be with someone who will be a wonderful mother and wife—someone I actually like, which is crucial.”
He added, “Can you imagine being married to someone I couldn’t care less about? I can usually tell if I want to spend more time with someone within just 10 minutes.”
Todd shared with the audience that he still doesn’t know Jodi since his release from prison.
“There hasn’t been much interaction between Jodi and me,” he explained.
Chase, 29, went public with Jodi in November 2023, just months after ending his engagement to ex-fiancée Emmy Medder.
The Lifetime docuseries, which debuted earlier this month, gave fans a glimpse into Chase’s relationship with Jodi. An episode even featured him discussing a potential proposal with his mother, Julie Chrisley.
“Just because I’m in prison doesn’t mean my role as a mother stops,” Julie said during a phone call from prison. “My abilities are indeed limited, but fundamentally, I am still a mother to these children.”
She continued, “When he told me he wanted to marry Jodi, I wasn’t thrilled. I don’t know her, so it’s hard for me to support my son marrying someone I haven’t met.”
Chase disagreed with his mother. (Todd and Julie spent 28 months in prison before being released this past May due to a pardon from President Donald Trump.)
“My mom doesn’t want me to rush anything. She advises me to take my time, but it’s been over two years. I don’t feel like I’m rushing,” he stated. “I think her concerns stem from not wanting to miss out. But there’s nothing we can control right now.”
Savannah Chrisley also opposed Chase proposing to Jodi, telling Nanny Faye in a separate episode that she would “object” to their wedding.
“He doesn’t even have his life figured out. He lives with his grandparents,” Savannah, 28, pointed out, referring to Julie’s parents, Pam and Harvey Hughes. “So, you’re supposed to get married and live with your grandparents? It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”
