Did Pauly D Shave His Head? Jersey Shore Star Reveals Buzzcut in New Video

The prank war champion is at it again! Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio left fans astonished with a recent video that seemed to showcase a buzzcut, prompting speculation about whether the DJ had traded his iconic hairstyle for a shaved head.

“I Shaved My Head ✂️💈🪒,” Pauly D, 45, wrote in the caption of his viral haircut clip on Saturday, October 11. In the video, he appeared to begin with his sideburns using an electric shaver before moving on to his beard.

“Feels good already. Clean it all off. Fresh start man!” he declared at the conclusion of the Facebook video.

The MTV star, known for his voluminous hair, caused a stir on social media, racking up over 12 million views in no time.

Yet, sharp-eyed viewers quickly realized that the transformation wasn’t genuine— it was AI-generated. “It’s AI people. It’s not possible to cut bulletproof hair,” one user commented. “AI or not… he looks fineeee bald,” remarked another.

“AI works wonders, yeeeaaaaahhhhh buddy!” a third chimed in, while a fourth referenced Pauly D from season 2 of Jersey Shore, stating, “This hair ain’t movin my dude. 150 miles on the highway on a street bike it doesn’t move. What makes you think it’s gonna move in a gelato shop.”

While some fans grappled with the idea of a Pauly D without his trademark hairstyle, others reminisced about his real-life hair transformation in 2020 when he went platinum blond while maintaining his dark facial hair.

“Just Trying To See If [It’s] True That Blondes Have More Fun…” he captioned a photo of himself grinning on his motorcycle. He also shared a selfie showcasing his new vibrant color from inside his Rolls Royce, writing, “Activate Super Saiyan DJ Mode……”

After revealing his platinum look, his co-star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino gave his thumbs up. “Oh damn,” the 43-year-old remarked, accompanied by a fire emoji. “We got a Situation.”

When a critic expressed disapproval, Pauly shrugged it off with a relaxed, “Don’t care.”

Before his brief hair change, Pauly spoke with Us Weekly exclusively about his iconic style while launching two new limited-edition versions of classic products: göt2b Glued Styling Spiking Glue and Blasting Freeze Spray by DJ Pauly D.

“My hair to me is my everything; I style it with gel more often than not,” the brand ambassador told Us at the time. “The bottles even have my face on them. The glue is super strong, ensuring my blowout stays put, and I finish it off with the spray for an all-day hold.”

Pauly emphasized that his hairstyle was a defining part of his look long before his fist-pumping reality TV debut in 2009.

“I went to Catholic school, where we all wore the same uniforms, and our hairstyles were the only way to stand out,” he explained, sharing that this carried into his adult life.

“I like to style my hair daily as a form of self-expression and achievement,” Pauly added.

As for going without gel, he does it occasionally but insisted, “I enjoy it too much; it’s a part of me and my signature.” Pauly quipped, “That would be like Mickey Mouse folding his ears down!”
