2024 Celebrity Deaths: Honoring the Stars We Lost This Year
Hollywood experienced the loss of many beloved celebrities in 2024.
Speed Racer actor Christian Oliver (born Christian Klepser) passed away at the age of 51 in a tragic plane accident on January 5. Oliver was returning home from a Caribbean vacation with his two daughters, Madita and Annik, whom he had with his wife Jessica Klepser, on January 4. The plane experienced engine failure and crashed into the ocean, claiming the life of the pilot as well.
Beyond his acting career, Oliver was also a realtor at the prestigious Beverly Hills brokerage, The Agency.
“Christian, Madita and Annik, you will be deeply missed. May you rest in peace,” wrote The Agency founder Mauricio Umansky in a heartfelt social media tribute. “My thoughts are with you and your entire Agency family. You were a wonderful friend, father, husband, actor, and agent. You brought joy and care to those around you. You are loved and missed dearly.”
Just four days later, it was reported that The Cleaning Lady star Aden Canto had also passed away at the age of 42.
“Adan possessed a spirit that few truly understood. Those who did were forever changed,” Canto’s representative stated, revealing that the actor had been battling appendiceal cancer privately. “He will be missed profoundly by so many.”
Canto is survived by his wife, Stephanie Canto, and their two children, Roman and Eve.
