Witney Carson’s Hubby Throws Surprise Party for Her DWTS Victory
Witney Carson is basking in the joy after winning Dancing With the Stars season 34 alongside her partner Robert Irwin.
“Carson [McAllister] and my friends threw me a surprise welcome home party, and I feel SO LOVED!!! It meant so much to me to celebrate with them,” Witney, 32, shared on her Instagram Story on Saturday, December 6, posting a video of her friends cheering in front of the camera.
The celebration took place under a beautiful silver and gold balloon arch, with signs that read, “Congrats Witney” and “DWTS.” In a different Instagram Story, Witney revealed delights like mini pancakes, tacos, and a Sips & Dips soda bar—elements she called “all [her] favorite things.”
“Crikey, Witney Carson is the champion of season 34!” one sign exclaimed in the yard.
In another Story, Witney embraced Carson, exclaiming, “He’s wayyy too good to me!!! Love you so much @carson.mcallister,” she wrote.
In a separate post on Instagram, Witney shared a collection of photos—depicting her and Carson posing with the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophies—and a video capturing her reaction to the surprise.
“Oh my God, babe!” Witney exclaimed as friends and family cheered, “Witney!”
She captioned the post, “Friends and family surprised me with the sweetest welcome home celebration 🥹😭. I truly don’t know how I got so lucky to be surrounded by the best people. Feeling so grateful!”
Robert, for his part, reacted enthusiastically in the comments section. “I love this!!!! Go Witney!!!!” Robert, 22, wrote, while his sister Bindi Irwin chimed in, “Crikey!!! This is wonderful ❤️.”
Witney was awarded the season 34 DWTS championship with Robert last month, marking her second victory in the competition. (Previously, Witney won the top title with partner Alfonso Ribeiro in season 19.)
Reflecting on the win, Witney described the season as “indescribably special,” a time she and her children will cherish forever. (Witney welcomed sons Leo and Jet in 2021 and 2023, respectively.)
“It’s hard to find the words to express how I feel,” she mentioned via Instagram in November. “This season, in particular, is something I will tell my kids about for the rest of their lives. It has changed me profoundly.”
Robert, meanwhile, expressed that he now has a lifelong friendship with Witney—who plans to visit him in Australia next year.
“Witney’s coming down to Australia,” he shared with E! News in November, which Witney confirmed. “I am, next spring, I’m there. You’re not getting rid of me that easily!” she humorously replied.
Since the win, Witney has made headlines after sharing on social media how supportive Carson had been during the season—highlighted by another text message that caught fans’ attention.
“Zac Efron is here,” Carson texted Witney, referencing the actor’s appearance during the November 18 semifinals to support his brother Dylan Efron. (Dylan, 33, and partner Daniella Karagach ultimately finished in fourth place.)
“I saw!” Witney replied, “They are trying to get votes.”
Us Weekly reached out to Witney’s representative for comments at the time.
Following the post, Witney took time to acknowledge each finalist and their corresponding pro partner on her Instagram Story—complimenting Dylan and Daniella, 32. She stated that watching Dylan “shine and grow each week was such a pleasure,” adding, “I’m a fan for life.”
