Hilary Swank and her husband, Philip Schneider, are overjoyed with the arrival of their twins, Aya and Ohm.
In October 2022, Swank announced her pregnancy during a conversation with Good Morning America.
“This is something I’ve wanted for a long time, and now I’m going to be a mom. Not just of one, but of two! I can’t believe it,” she shared excitedly.
Swank and Schneider, who tied the knot in 2018, welcomed their babies in April 2023.
“It wasn’t an easy journey. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. 👼🏼🤍👼🏼,” Swank posted on Instagram, choosing not to disclose her children’s names at that time. “Happy Easter! 🐣🐣 Posting from pure Heaven. 🙌🏽.”
Less than a year later, on Valentine’s Day 2024, she revealed that her daughter is named Aya and her son is named Ohm.
“I have a busy week of talk shows where I’ll be discussing my new film and an exciting partnership, but I thought today is the perfect day to share my little loves’ names with you all👼🏼👼🏼💝,” she captioned an Instagram photo of her kids on the beach with leaves spelling out their names.
In December 2025, Swank faced criticism after reportedly accusing a mom on a Make-A-Wish trip of trying to photograph her family. She seemingly apologized, explaining her concerns about unwanted photos of Aya and Ohm.

Swank took to social media to announce the birth of her children with Schneider, emphasizing that the journey “wasn’t easy” but completely “worth it.”
“Happy Easter! 🐣🐣,” she shared on Instagram with images of the newborns. “Posting from pure Heaven. 🙌🏽.”
Following the twins’ arrival, a source informed Us Weekly that Swank was “literally on cloud nine.”
“She couldn’t be happier now that her little ones are finally here,” the insider revealed in April 2023, noting that the actress felt she “hit the jackpot” with both a boy and a girl. “She’s thrilled to embark on this new chapter with her family. Almost a year after their birth, Swank announced her daughter’s name as Aya and her son’s name as Ohm.
A February 2024 Instagram post displayed a photograph of her children seated on the sand, gazing at the ocean, with leaves arranged to spell out their names.
“Aya is named after a courageous young Syrian refugee we met in Lebanon. She was full of life despite her struggles. My husband and I thought, ‘What a beautiful name!’” Swank shared during an appearance on the Today show. “Ohm represents the first universal sound that connects all humanity, which we found very fitting.”
