How Many Children Does Meghan King Have? Discover Her Three Kids!

Meghan King is a reality television star, real estate consultant, and a mother of three.

The Real Housewives of Orange County alumna married former baseball player Jim Edmonds in 2014. They welcomed their daughter Aspen through IVF in 2016, followed by twin sons Hart and Hayes in 2018. King also became a stepmother to Edmonds’ four children from previous relationships during their marriage.

However, King and Edmonds ultimately separated in 2019, with their divorce finalized in May 2021. The former couple continued to co-parent Aspen, Hart, and Hayes under joint custody, but an investigation by Child Protective Services led to King temporarily losing physical custody of the children, Us Weekly exclusively reported in November 2025. They reached a custody agreement a month later.

Meghan King, the Real Housewives of Orange County alum, informed police that her ex-husband Jim Edmonds was “emotionally abusive” following a heated encounter with his current wife, Kortnie Edmonds. Us Weekly exclusively acquired bodycam footage from the Frontenac Police Department capturing the encounter with Meghan, 40, on May 1 after Kortnie contacted 911.

Aspen

Meghan King and Jim Edmonds welcomed their daughter Aspen via IVF on November 24, 2016, after facing infertility challenges.

“I have many friends who have experienced fertility issues. Some share their stories, while others keep it private, but one consistent aspect is the struggle affects all of them,” she shared with Us in June 2016 regarding her journey to conceive. “Being open about my process and the emotional rollercoaster of IVF allows others to understand it’s normal to feel this way.”

King celebrated Aspen’s 8th birthday in November 2024 with a heartfelt Instagram tribute.

“Eight years ago, I gave birth to my greatest joy,” she wrote. “On that Thanksgiving, I discovered the true meaning of gratitude, and I’ve been both laughing and crying ever since. Aspen: graceful, strong, fearless, resilient, beautiful, and the happiest little angel princess full of kindness, girly fun, and positivity. Her presence is truly felt; she’s a remarkable force.”

Hart and Hayes

Meghan King and Jim Edmonds’ twin sons, Hart and Hayes, were born in June 2018. “They’re such wonderful babies,” she told Us at the time. “I feel incredibly fortunate.”

“Since they were born at exactly 37 weeks, they were considered slightly premature, but fortunately, we didn’t face any major issues,” King explained. “Hart was smaller and had higher bilirubin levels, which required close monitoring, but I’m grateful we didn’t need NICU time like many twin mothers do.”

Regarding their personalities, King remarked, “Hayes is very laid-back. If he’s fussy, it’s usually just due to needing to burp. Hart is energetic and loves to be held constantly. Fortunately, they’re both doing great. Unlike Aspen, who cried a lot during her first five weeks, these boys are much calmer.”

Hart was diagnosed with cerebral palsy in 2020, and King has been candid about the challenges of raising a child with this condition.

Kortnie Edmonds, Jim Edmonds’ wife, called the police on his ex-wife Meghan King after the Real Housewives of Orange County alum allegedly entered their home without permission, according to an exclusive report by Us Weekly. A report from the Frontenac Police Department detailed the incident that occurred on May 1 at Jim’s home in Missouri.

“My son Hart has cerebral palsy, which I’ve openly discussed. He is aware of his condition, but there are additional complexities we’re navigating,” she told Us in 2024. “His needs fit into the neurodivergent category, which, like many parents facing similar challenges, can be overwhelming as we seek to understand and articulate his requirements for proper support.”

Meghan King Temporarily Lost Custody of Her Kids in 2025

King lost physical custody of her children after a school employee contacted Child Protective Services, leading to an investigation, a source revealed to Us in November 2025. While Edmonds has sole physical custody, King was granted supervised visitation. This arrangement is temporary, and a hearing is set for December 2025 to discuss future custody terms.

One month later, the former couple reached a custody agreement, with Edmonds’ representative stating to Us, “The custody hearing has been canceled, and both parties have come to an agreement that prioritizes the well-being of the children.”
