Which Landman Stars Will Return for Season 3, and Who Won’t?

Taylor Sheridan‘s acclaimed series Landman has been renewed for its third season — but which stars will be returning, and who won’t?

Based on the “Boomtown” podcast series, Landman explores the West Texas oil industry, centering on crisis executive Tommy Norris and his family. The Paramount+ show launched in 2024, featuring Billy Bob Thornton as a corporate fixer for an oil magnate (Jon Hamm), building a narrative filled with unexpected twists.

The season finale saw Hamm’s Monty meet his end, while Tommy was appointed president of M-Tex, only to be kidnapped and brutally beaten by a drug cartel chief. Tommy was ultimately released with an obligation to collaborate with the cartel.

In its second season, the tension escalated with the introduction of Demi Moore as Cami. Meanwhile, characters such as Ali Larter as Angela, Jacob Lofland as Cooper, Michelle Randolph as Ainsley, and others find themselves in their own dramatic arcs.

Before the conclusion of its second season, Landman had already secured a renewal for a third season. Season 2 shattered viewership records for Paramount+, amassing over 9.2 million streaming views for its premiere episode within the first two days. This surge in viewership surpassed that of the first season and marked the highest-rated premiere for any original series on Paramount+.

Continue reading to find out which Landman cast members have confirmed their return for season 3 — and who has yet to decide:

Thornton has committed to four or five seasons of Landman, sharing with The Hollywood Reporter in November 2025 that he intends to stay with the series “as long as I’m able” or “until the story runs out.”

Jon Hamm

After a significant role in season 1, Hamm’s character was written out.

Demi Moore

Creator Christian Wallace commented on Cami’s emergence as a key player, telling Variety in January 2025, “There is much more story to unfold with Cami. Taylor has big plans, that’s all I can disclose.”

Wallace elaborated in a separate interview with TV Insider, stating, “I think Demi’s character was somewhat in the shadow of Monty in the first season, especially as he led M-Tex Oil. He was facing tough decisions while trying to shield his family from stress, which ultimately contributed to his downfall. This tragedy opens up an incredible opportunity for Cami to take a more prominent role in this universe.”

Andy Garcia

Emerson Miller/Paramount+

It remains uncertain whether Garcia’s character will continue to lead the drug cartel in the upcoming season.

Ali Larter

Emerson Miller/Paramount+

Landman wouldn’t be the same without Angela reaching out to Tommy and visiting the senior center with her daughter.

Michelle Randolph

As for Ainsley, the show still has plenty of ground to cover regarding her journey.

Jacob Lofland

Jacob Lofland as Cooper Norris. Emerson Miller/Paramount+

While Cooper’s personal life is flourishing, the state of his professional life remains unclear as season three approaches.

Paulina Chavez

Ariana’s relationship with Cooper is pivotal to the story. Landman will continue to explore their narrative.
