Authorities are seeking a missing 21-year-old woman from Arizona, who was last seen leaving a friend’s house and failed to arrive for her work shift the following day, according to officials.

Isabella Comas went missing under “suspicious circumstances” on Sunday, January 11, as confirmed by the Avondale Police Department in an emailed statement to Us Weekly.

Comas left her friend’s house in Avondale that afternoon, around 3:00 p.m., driving a red Hyundai Sonata, as reported in a news release by police on Wednesday, January 14.

“She has not been seen or heard from since,” police stated.

The following day, on Monday, January 12, Comas did not arrive at work, as per a Turquoise Alert issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

In Arizona, Turquoise Alerts are activated to assist authorities in locating individuals considered missing and endangered under the age of 65.

“Isabella was reported missing when her friend was not picked up for work by her, as was customary,” stated the public safety department.

Comas’ phone has been located, according to the agency, but details regarding its location were not disclosed.

Additionally, Comas’ vehicle was found on the evening of Tuesday, January 13, in Phoenix, as confirmed by Avondale police in the statement shared with Us. Avondale is approximately a 15-mile drive west of Phoenix.

Comas is described as Hispanic, standing at 5-foot-3, weighing around 110 pounds, with brown eyes and pink hair, according to police.

She was last seen wearing a loose white shirt featuring a black logo and black pants, as noted in a recent update.

The Avondale Police Department has released a surveillance photo of Comas in the outfit she wore on the day she went missing. The image shows her at a QuikTrip store in Avondale on January 11, according to police.

“Due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding this ongoing investigation, we are unable to release further details at this time as detectives continue to actively pursue leads related to Ms. Isabella Comas’ disappearance,” Avondale police stated on January 14. “We truly appreciate the community’s continuous support and encourage anyone with information to respond to her Turquoise Alert.”

“The tips we’ve received have been incredibly helpful in advancing this case,” added the police department.

Comas’ disappearance follows roughly six months after the state implemented its Turquoise Alert system as part of a “new statewide initiative,” according to a news release from the state Department of Public Safety dated July 10, 2025.

This measure was enacted under “Emily’s Law,” which Governor Katie Hobbs signed into law on May 13, 2025.

The law honors Emily Pike, a member of the San Carlos Apache tribe, according to the agency.

Turquoise Alerts are issued for missing persons when “local law enforcement has exhausted all available resources,” and “there is reason to believe the individual is in danger or in the company of a potentially dangerous person.”

Anyone with information regarding Comas’ possible whereabouts is encouraged to call Avondale police at 623-333-7000. The police department also welcomes anonymous tips via Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
