Grace Van Patten and Jackson White Serve Up a Stylish Moment in ‘Tell Me Lies’
Grace Van Patten and Jackson White showcased their stylish flair at the Tell Me Lies season 3 premiere.
The pair, both aged 29, matched in dark attire at the event, which took place at New York City’s Corner Store on Monday, January 12.
Van Patten, who portrays Lucy Albright in the series, dazzled in a flowing black blouse with pleated sleeves that elegantly draped over her shoulders, featuring a mock neck. She paired it with a high-waisted patent leather skirt that flowed to her ankles, complete with a thigh-high slit. To finish her look, she opted for sheer black tights and pointed-toe patent leather heels.
Her appearance was complemented by a minimalistic makeup style, showcasing dewy skin, highlighted cheeks, and shimmering highlighter on her key features. She enhanced her eyes with warm eyeshadow and finished with pink, lined lips. Her honey blonde hair was styled with a middle part and soft beachy waves.
Jackson White, in a matching display of style, wrapped his arm around Van Patten while donning a gray blazer, partially unbuttoned, over a crisp white dress shirt and a subtly patterned black tie. He completed his look with tailored black pants and polished shoes.
Tell Me Lies explores the tumultuous relationship between Lucy, Stephen DeMarco (played by White), and their college friends, emphasizing the toxic dynamics within their group.
Van Patten and White’s connection sparked during auditions, leading her to discuss their chemistry on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in October 2025.
“I didn’t like Jackson [at first],” she confessed to host Alex Cooper. “We discuss it regularly. I had participated in numerous Zoom chemistry reads due to Covid restrictions.”
Van Patten further elaborated, “I had heard that Jackson was the frontrunner for the role. I thought, ‘Oh great, this guy is a serious actor.’ Initially, I felt a disconnect due to his demeanor.”
She recalls being apprehensive, thinking they might not get along, but concluded that he was ideal for his role due to his immense talent.
Upon meeting in person for the second audition round, their energy shifted dramatically. “It felt entirely different,” Van Patten recalled. “He admitted to me that he was nervous for the Zoom audition, while I was completely dedicated to my role in Tell Me Lies and eager to connect.”
Subsequently, the pair enjoyed dinner together and shared an instant connection.
“That night, we both realized we liked each other,” she laughed. “We spent six hours talking about all the reasons we shouldn’t pursue it before I ended up kissing him.”
Van Patten expressed that the “best part” of portraying Lucy is the opportunity to work alongside Jackson.
