Eric Dane’s Former Partner Priya Jain Contributes $10K to GoFundMe Following His Passing

Priya Jain, the former girlfriend of Eric Dane, has generously donated $10,000 to the GoFundMe campaign honoring the late actor.

Us Weekly announced on Tuesday, February 24, that Jain, 28, made her contribution to the crowdfunding effort established by “Friends of the Dane family,” with ex-wife Rebecca Gayheart listed as the “Beneficiary.” The initiative has successfully raised over $450,000 from approximately 4,000 donors, aiming for a total of $500,000.

Jain, an actress from California known for her role in the 2001 movie The Sanctuary, dated Dane for nearly a year after being first linked in November 2024. Earlier this month, a source revealed exclusively to Us that the two had “reconnected their friendship” just months before Dane’s passing on Thursday, February 19, at the age of 53.

The star of Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria faced an arduous battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a neurological disease impacting nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, as noted by Mayo Clinic.

Dane’s death took Jain by surprise; she “didn’t expect it to happen so soon,” according to an insider. (Dane publicly revealed his ALS diagnosis in April 2025 and passed away just 10 months later.)

“She holds great affection for his family and is aware of the challenges his daughters are facing,” the source elaborated. Dane shared two daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14, with Gayheart, 54. Although she filed for divorce in 2018, the couple remained legally married until his passing.

Jain’s support followed Gayheart’s public acknowledgment of the GoFundMe campaign on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, February 21. She shared several family photos featuring Dane with their daughters and provided followers with a link to the GoFundMe page.

“Thank you to everyone,” the Beverly Hills, 90210 star expressed next to the link.

The actor’s family released a statement confirming his death on Thursday. “With heavy hearts, we announce that Dane passed away on Thursday afternoon after a courageous fight with ALS. He spent his last days surrounded by loving friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world,” the statement read. “Throughout his ALS journey, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to influence change for others facing similar battles.”

The GoFundMe page was launched shortly after Dane’s death, with a friend addressing the initiative publicly. Mike McGuiness shared on Instagram, “My friend of nearly two decades just left us after a brutal battle with ALS. I usually find the silver lining in tough situations, but this one has brought me to my knees.”

The post continued, “COVID and ALS impacted his professional life significantly, and unfortunately, he couldn’t leave his family with the resources he had envisioned. A GoFundMe is being organized, and I will share it on my story for anyone willing to help.”

The fundraiser has received donations from several high-profile individuals, including Euphoria creator Sam Levinson, who contributed $27,000, and Hailey Bieber, who donated $20,000.
