Maxx Crosby Shares Heartfelt Goodbye to Raiders Following Trade to Ravens

NFL star Maxx Crosby bids a heartfelt farewell to Raiders Nation.

“Alright y’all, it’s hard to believe this is actually happening,” Crosby shared in a Saturday, March 8, post on X. “After seven years with the nation, Raiders Nation has given me everything.”

In a nearly 13-minute video, 28-year-old Crosby expressed his gratitude to the Las Vegas Raiders, wishing the organization and its fans well while looking ahead to the upcoming NFL season with his new team, the Baltimore Ravens.

“Above all, I want to say that I gave everything I had, and I have no regrets,” Crosby remarked. “I poured my heart into trying to win as a Raider.”

The video was released just a day after Crosby was traded to the Ravens, concluding a seven-year journey with the Raiders that saw him become a defensive star.

Crosby joined the league as the Raiders’ fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and has remained with the team ever since. During his seven years, the Raiders made the playoffs only once in 2021, a Wild Card round loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

In the video, Crosby referred to the 2021 season as “the most fun I ever had playing football.”

“Since I’ve been here, my sole aim has been to become the best version of myself and help bring a championship back to the Raiders,” Crosby shared. “I feel like I’ve given everything I had for this team. I’ve poured my heart and soul into it and I feel like I’ve let you all down.”

Despite trade rumors swirling around Crosby at the end of the 2025-2026 NFL season and into the offseason, he expressed that he never anticipated such a swift departure from the Raiders.

“It’s been a whirlwind, man,” Crosby said. “I never thought I’d find myself in this position. I truly didn’t expect to be leaving, but God works in mysterious ways. This wasn’t how I envisioned things, but everything happens for a reason, and I truly believe that.”

Crosby played his final game with the Raiders in Week 16 of last season before being placed on Injured Reserve due to a knee injury.

At that moment, he seemed dissatisfied with the decision and left the team’s practice facility after receiving the news.

In Saturday’s video, Crosby stated he holds “zero ill will toward the organization,” expressing gratitude to the team owners and executives for the opportunity to play and excel in Las Vegas.

“I bleed silver and black, and that will never change. I’m a Raider for life,” said Crosby, adding that he wishes to retire in a Raiders jersey “whenever that time comes.”

He then shifted his focus to his new chapter with the Ravens, stating his “one purpose” is to bring a Super Bowl to Baltimore.

“To the entire city of Baltimore… I’m coming in guns blazing,” he declared. “I’m going to be myself and give everything I have in my heart and soul to be the best player I can be, and to set the best example every day.”
