Brantley Gilbert’s Current Stance on Zach Bryan Post-Feud
Brantley Gilbert is clarifying his rumored disagreement with fellow artist Zach Bryan.
“I’m not sure what his intention was with that parody of ‘Dirt Road Anthem’ and chili dogs. Perhaps he was poking fun at my dad bod or something,” Gilbert, 41, told Us Weekly on Wednesday, March 11, while celebrating his involvement as an investor and equity partner in Real American Beer. “I don’t know, but honestly, I found it quite amusing. It was a pretty funny little thing.”
Recently, Bryan, 29, sparked a lot of buzz online when he shared a rendition of Jason Aldean’s popular track — which Gilbert performed on and co-wrote — changing the chorus to “chili on a hot dog.”
In response to Bryan’s parody, Gilbert posted a video of himself preparing and enjoying two foot-long hot dogs.
“I thought it would be more entertaining to embrace it,” Gilbert remarked. “Honestly, it made me crave a chili dog. When I heard that, I spotted a Sonic nearby. I told my friend, ‘Make a u-turn, we’re grabbing chili dogs.’”
Although rumors suggested tension between the two, Gilbert disagreed.
“Our current climate is very intense. It seems we’ve lost the ability to engage in conversation and enjoy ourselves,” Gilbert told Us. “I hold no resentment against anyone. I’m sure he has different political beliefs than I do, which is perfectly fine. That doesn’t lead me to harbor animosity. It is what it is. Many of us hold varying perspectives. Sometimes it feels like we rush to be outraged.”
In his open conversation with Us, Gilbert expressed respect for Bryan, especially for his service in the Navy.
“I don’t harbor any ill feelings toward him,” he said. “We might disagree on some topics, but that’s not enough for me to generate hate. I’m not in search of conflict. I’m a husband and father of three. I don’t have time for drama.”

Currently, Gilbert is thrilled to collaborate with Real American Beer, introducing RAB ZERO, a robust nonalcoholic beverage that “still delivers the punch.”
As he approaches 15 years of sobriety this December, the “One Hell of an Amen” artist is pleased to be part of a team that promotes God, family, and country. The new product also serves as an alternative for those who prefer not to drink for any reason.
“It’s not solely for those in recovery wanting to eliminate alcohol from their lives,” Gilbert described RAB ZERO. “It’s for anyone who’s the designated driver tonight or those who need to wake up early. If you have responsibilities for your kids or your job, you likely don’t want to deal with a hangover. It’s suitable for various social scenarios and lifestyle choices.”
Furthermore, $1 from each case of RAB ZERO is contributed to the USO, the leading charitable organization serving active-duty service members and their families.
