Brooklyn Beckham Celebrates His Exceptional Mother-in-Law During Family Turmoil

Brooklyn Beckham publicly marked his mother-in-law Claudia Heffner Peltz’s 71st birthday just before remaining silent on U.K. Mother’s Day amid his ongoing family issues.

“Happy birthday to the best mother-in-law,” Brooklyn, 27, shared via his Instagram Stories on Saturday, March 14. “Love [you] so much and hope [you] had an amazing day ❤️.”

He also shared his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham’s tribute to her mother.

“Happy birthday to my mom! I feel so lucky to call you mom,” Nicola, 31, expressed just hours earlier on Saturday. “I’m so happy I got to celebrate your special day with you.”

She added, “I love celebrating you — your light is so bright that it makes everything better in this world. I love you more than you’ll ever know. I hope all your dreams and wishes come true!”

The following day, families across the United Kingdom celebrated Mother’s Day. Brooklyn’s family paid tribute specifically to his mom, Victoria Beckham.

“Happy Mother’s Day to the most wonderful mummy,” Brooklyn’s dad, David Beckham, posted via Instagram on Sunday, March 15, along with a throwback photo of Victoria, 51, during one of her pregnancies. “You are an inspiration in every way a mom should be to our four amazing children. We love you so much, and I’m thankful for the family we’ve built. Have a special Mother’s Day because if anyone deserves it, it’s you.”

Victoria reposted David’s message to her Instagram Stories, adding, “I love you.”

David, 50, and Victoria have been married since 1999 and have welcomed sons Brooklyn, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, along with daughter Harper, 14.

Currently distanced from his parents and siblings, Brooklyn was the only Beckham child not to send a public Mother’s Day message to the former Spice Girl.

“Happy Mother’s Day to the best mum ever,” Harper wrote in her Stories. “Thank you for always supporting me and putting up with me — even on my toughest days. I don’t say it enough, but I’m very grateful for all that you do for me each day. Love you so much, and I hope you have the best day because you deserve it.”

Cruz and Romeo also shared nostalgic family photos, with Romeo adding, “Thank you for everything you do; no one does it like you.” Victoria reposted her younger children’s messages, replying with “I love you so much.”

Brooklyn has kept his distance from his family since marrying Nicola in 2022.

“I do not wish to reconcile with my family,” he stated in a revealing social media post in January. “I’m not being controlled; I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. … My wife and I desire a life free from image, press, or manipulation. All we seek is peace, privacy, and happiness for ourselves and our future family.”

Though David and Victoria didn’t publicly respond to Brooklyn’s statement, they did share social media tributes for his 27th birthday earlier this month.

“Brooklyn ignored David’s effort to get his attention with that birthday post,” a source revealed exclusively to Us Weekly. “He views it as just another way for them to maintain their public image, and it felt meaningless to him. He had a wonderful day celebrating with Nicola, who made him feel special. He isn’t letting the drama affect him.”
