Martha Stewart Speaks Out About Her Cameo in RHONY Season 16

Martha Stewart has officially announced her appearance on The Real Housewives of New York City season 16.

“The filming was incredibly enjoyable,” Martha, 84, shared with TMZ on Thursday, March 26. “The team is very professional, and I believe it will be an exhilarating series.”

Speculation began earlier this month when TMZ reported that the lifestyle icon recently filmed a segment with her longtime makeup artist Daisy Toye, who has joined RHONY for the new season.

“Daisy is an amazing Housewife of New York,” Martha praised on Thursday.

When asked about the possibility of future appearances on RHONY alongside her friend Daisy, Stewart was more cautious.

“I think it was probably one-and-done,” she joked.

Last year, Page Six reported that Bravo was interested in making Martha a full-time cast member as a strategy to refresh the show. However, her representative quickly dismissed the rumors, stating, “[Martha] insists she is not a ‘Housewife.’”

Nonetheless, even a guest appearance by Martha is likely to enhance The Real Housewives of New York City season 16. The Bravo series has seen significant cast changes after the exits of Brynn Whitfield, Ubah Hassan, and Jenna Lyons following a tumultuous season in 2025.

Bravo temporarily halted production on RHONY while they restructured the cast, ultimately announcing this month that Sai De Silva, Erin Lichy, and Jessel Taank will return alongside newcomers Daisy, Hailey Glassman, and Erika Hammond.

Carole Radziwill is also returning for season 16 as a “friend of the Housewives,” helping to connect the original and fresh faces of RHONY. (Carole was part of the RHONY cast between seasons 5 and 10.)

Earlier this month, Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen hinted at how Carole, 62, will be brought back into RHONY.

“We’re thrilled to have Carole come back as a friend,” Cohen, 57, told fans during a SXSW panel on March 15. “Viewers love seeing familiar faces and old friends.”

He added, “Carole keeps mentioning, ‘I actually know more people in this group than I did when I joined the original show back in season 5 all those years ago.’”

Cohen assured fans that the chemistry among the RHONY cast will be more “organic” in season 16 after a challenging period for the series. (RHONY was initially paused in 2021 and later rebooted with an entirely new cast. The Housewives series was briefly shelved again last year for adjustments.)

“We understand that key elements, especially in New York, and any other cast, are that the women share a profound connection,” Cohen noted. “The new cast really embodies that.”

The host of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen emphasized that a successful Housewives franchise should feature “real events happening in [the cast’s] lives” along with “a good deal of humor” to engage viewers.

“We are very confident that the upcoming season will deliver,” he declared.

The Real Housewives of New York City season 16 is currently in production. Previous seasons are available to stream on Peacock.
