Josh Duhamel and Fergie: A Timeline of Their Co-Parenting Journey with Son Axl

Fergie expressed her support for Duhamel and Mari when they shared the news of their second pregnancy.

“Welcome the cuteness! 💖💖,” the singer wrote in her comment on the announcement.

That same month, Duhamel shared some rare insights about his relationship with Fergie, both during and after their marriage.

“Fergie is also very wholesome, believe it or not,” he stated on “The Skinny Confidential” podcast. “She’s an exceptional mom—kind and nonconfrontational, thank goodness. We maintain a good relationship. She and Audra also have a wonderful bond.”

Reflecting on the reasons behind their marital split, Duhamel mentioned, “We’re just quite different. Fergie and I have differing worldviews. And that’s perfectly fine, you know. I have no regrets about it. We share a beautiful son. However, [Fergie and Mari] are distinct in many aspects. Both are truly great women.”

During an interview on The Megyn Kelly Show, Duhamel shared that he often felt overshadowed by Fergie during their marriage.

“It’s likely more of my own ego than anything. I don’t think it bothered her as much as it did me. But she was a huge star at that time!” he remarked.

The Ransom Canyon star concluded, “We co-parent our son, Axl. She’s a fantastic mom. I’m very happily married now to my wife, Audra. We have a lovely son and a little girl on the way. [Audra and Fergie] have a great relationship, which is what I genuinely care about. My priority is to ensure everyone is at peace and there’s no conflict among us. Thankfully, they have been very civil in this situation … It could be messy, but luckily, it’s not.”
