Why Lo Bosworth Missed the Laguna Beach Reunion Event

Lo Bosworth had a compelling reason for missing the Laguna Beach reunion event.

“No, I’m not at the Laguna press day,” Bosworth, 39, stated in an Instagram video on Friday, March 27. “It’s not because I don’t want to be there. I just had a baby! I need to have some placenta surgically removed next week that was left behind by accident.”

Bosworth reiterated her excuse in the caption, adding, “I wore my black and white outfit at home yesterday in solidarity lol. … Sending love from the east coast! ♥️💕.”

Laguna Beach cast members Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, Jessica Smith Evans, Talan Torreiro, Christina Sinclair, Trey Phillips, Dieter Schmitz, Morgan Smith, and Lauren Olsen gathered in Santa Monica, California, on Thursday, March 26, to celebrate The Roku Channel’s upcoming reunion special, The Reunion: Laguna Beach.

The stars donned black and white outfits as they posed together on the red carpet for a memorable group photo, reminiscent of the show’s iconic season 1 party. Cavallari, 39, Colletti, 40, and Conrad, 40 — all of whom serve as executive producers for the special — also posed together, indicating the resolution of their drama more than 20 years after the infamous love triangle showcased in the first two seasons of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.

“We’re always cheering for each other, and it’s wonderful to see everyone achieving amazing things,” Colletti exclusively told Us Weekly at the event. “If you had told me back then, I would’ve thought, ‘I don’t know that path.’”

The One Tree Hill alum added, “But as the years pass and you mature, you gain perspective on life, realizing that we all shared an odd experience — a unique social experiment.”

Although Bosworth is involved in the reunion special, she opted out of the press event just three months after welcoming her first child with husband Dom Natale.

“Our girl Nelle is here,” the reality TV star shared in a January 15 Instagram post. “She started the year by coming two weeks early, but honestly, she was right on time.”

Bosworth continued, “Our tiny one is named after her Oma and is already so loved. More updates to come!”

Less than six months before this announcement, Bosworth disclosed her pregnancy and that she had married Natale in a private ceremony.

“We said yes with joy,” Bosworth shared on Instagram at that time. “And life, with its most tender timing, said yes right back.”
