Zendaya Dons ‘Something Borrowed’ from Cate Blanchett

Zendaya embraced bridal tradition by donning “something borrowed” during the The Drama press tour.

At the The Drama premiere in Rome on Thursday, March 26, Zendaya, 29, dazzled in a stylish Giorgio Armani dress previously worn by Cate Blanchett. The actress shone in the black gown, featuring a plunging neckline embellished with sparkling stones and a mermaid skirt complete with pockets.

She enhanced her look with striking diamond stud earrings from Louis Vuitton.

Her makeup was flawless, showcasing dewy skin, perfectly shaped brows, rosy eyeshadow, blushed cheeks, and pink-lined lips. Her brunette hair was elegantly parted to the side and styled in loose waves, with strands gracefully resting over her forehead.

Her longtime stylist, Law Roach, confirmed that Zendaya was indeed wearing the same dress that Blanchett, 56, had in 2025 at the Venice Film Festival and at the 2022 Actor Awards, previously called the SAG Awards.

“Zendaya wearing the @giorgioarmani gown and @louisvuitton high jewels first seen on the incredible Cate Blanchett #somethingborrowed,” Roach, 47, shared in an Instagram post. He also included a reel showcasing both women in the glamorous design, adding, “It’s like DejaVu.”

Blanchett first showcased this design in 2022, accessorizing it with black rings, pointed heels, and dangling earrings. She turned heads with smokey eyes, pink lips, and loose, curly hair.

Her affection for the dress led her to wear it again three years later at the La Grazia premiere during the 2025 Venice Film Festival, where she sported the same earrings as Zendaya, styling her blonde locks with a side part and beachy waves.

Zendaya’s “something borrowed” moment comes amid speculation that she and Tom Holland may have secretly wed after becoming engaged over a year ago. Earlier this month, Roach mentioned to Access Hollywood at the 2026 Actor Awards that “the wedding already happened.”

When questioned about his seriousness, Roach confirmed, “It’s very true.”

Zendaya took a light-hearted jab at the rumors on March 16 during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, sharing a humorous video of Holland’s face superimposed over her Drama co-star Robert Pattinson’s as the fictional couple walked down the aisle.

“It was a beautiful day … That was real footage,” she joked. “That was real! I was there.”
