Sabrina Carpenter Looks Stunningly Different with Brown Hair and Bangs

Sabrina Carpenter demonstrates her ability to dazzle, regardless of the hair hue she sports.

On Tuesday, April 7, Carpenter, 26, looked almost unrecognizable in a brunette wig while posing for Perfect Magazine. The wig, significantly darker than her trademark honey blonde locks, was styled straight and worn down, complete with short bangs that grazed her eyebrows.

To complement her new look, Carpenter opted for a chic black manicure and subtle makeup, featuring rosy cheeks, soft pink lips, and mascara.

Her fans responded enthusiastically on social media. One exclaimed, “Omg didn’t even recognize her!! ❤️,” while another remarked, “ooo the black hair looks good.” A third user commented, “Full on shape shifting ❤️.”

During her conversation with the publication, styled by fashion editor Katie Eleanor Grand, Carpenter expressed her joy in embracing a darker look, stating, “I love to play dress up. This shoot was really fun for that reason.”

She notes, “We got to really try some looks that I’ve never tried before. Lots of wigs, lots of different makeup for me, lots of shapes that maybe I wouldn’t normally wear. I can just have a bit more fun with editorial. It was really fun.”

Carpenter also opened up about her upcoming performance at Coachella on Friday, April 10, and April 17, which she had envisioned two years back while on the same stage.

“Now, two years later, we’re back,” she shared. “And I think that’s what makes this show feel surreal: celebrating all the songs that have come after it, and how many lives they’ve touched since their release.”

Sabrina Carpenter is not one to shy away from bold choices. On Thursday, June 12, Carpenter, 26, graced the cover of Rolling Stone in her birthday suit, utilizing her stunning, lengthy hair to cover herself. Skipping her typical bouncy curls, she opted for wavy locks that flowed elegantly.

Captured by Bryce Anderson, Carpenter elaborated, “When I’m on stage, there’s a button I switch on. I think this has been the case since I was a child. Singing these songs, whether they’re personal or not, becomes an entirely immersive experience.”

She continued, “I’ve always been able to distinguish my on-stage persona from my everyday self. I am a 26-year-old girl—hormonal, emotional, facing numerous challenges. It’s about compartmentalizing the moments when I feel the show must go on, and then times when I can embrace my messy human side.”
