A Look Inside Brian Kelley’s Summer as a Member of Florida Georgia Line
As summer gradually draws to a close, Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line and his spouse, Brittney Marie Kelley, are reflecting on a season brimming with unforgettable experiences.
“This year has been truly magical. The highlight would have to be CMA Fest,” Brian, 41, shared exclusively with Us on Wednesday, September 2, while celebrating his latest album, Coral Beats. “Reuniting the guys and performing at the stadium really brought our brotherhood to life. We have some very exciting plans for next year, and it’s been a remarkably magical year overall. That experience ranks at the top.”
In June, Brian and Tyler Hubbard delighted fans at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium with their first Florida Georgia Line performance since 2022.
“It was a significant lead-up to that moment. It wasn’t merely about summer,” Brittney shared with Us. “This was something we worked on behind the scenes for about six months, involving a lot of healing and redemption, filled with moments we believe were divinely inspired and things we had prayed for a long time. The public got to witness that special moment at CMA Fest, but it had been building for us for quite a while, making it all the more surreal and special.”
Performing major hits in large stadiums is certainly exhilarating, but Brian also cherishes the little joys, like watching sunsets along the Florida coastline and enjoying trips to the water.
“I have to mention, I’ve been fishing a lot this year too, and that has been pretty magical,” the country artist revealed. “We’ve enjoyed some wonderful family moments. We did some Surf Post Sessions, and took a memorable trip to Idaho with the Hubbards earlier this year. It was truly magical. They stayed with us for about four or five days. It has truly been an incredible year, a true ‘Jimmy Buffett Summer.’ Let’s keep it real.”
Fans listening to Brian’s new solo album will hear him sing about “boat drinks on ice” and “embracing island time.” This catchy track marks the inaugural collaboration between Brian and Brittney in songwriting.

“That was one of the most remarkable moments in our marriage; a truly magical day,” Brian expressed to Us. “We have been incredibly fortunate to collaborate on various ventures, from a burger bar to a surf shop, and notably our clothing line Tribe Kelley. Brittney’s passion for music was clear when we first met many years ago, even before marriage.”
Although Brittney admitted she “did not plan on writing a song that day,” her love for playing with lyrics has always been strong.
The final result — accompanied by an official music video featuring the two — exceeded all of Brittney’s expectations.
“It was a delightful surprise that I hadn’t intended,” she recounted. “Then I was surprised he actually cut it!”
As Americans slowly bid farewell to summer over the Labor Day weekend, both Brian and Brittney are relishing their Florida roots and wishing that more people could someday enjoy a “Jimmy Buffett Summer.”
“It’s a place where you try not to miss a sunset,” Brian explained. “You want to rise early, get your walk in, enjoy being outdoors, and fish as often as you can. It’s a really special community.”
