Season 4 of Sullivan’s Crossing will be navigating the aftermath of Cal’s encounter with Maggie’s secret husband — but who else will make an appearance?

Adapted from the book series by Robyn Carr, Sullivan’s Crossing follows neurosurgeon Maggie (Morgan Kohan) as she returns to her rural Nova Scotia roots to reconnect with her estranged father, Sully (Scott Patterson). What begins as a short getaway evolves into Maggie envisioning a future in Sullivan’s Crossing alongside her love interest, Cal (Chad Michael Murray).

The third season of the popular series, which debuted on Netflix in August 2025, highlighted the tensions in Maggie and Cal’s relationship when he was ready to take the next step, but she hesitated. Meanwhile, Maggie reintroduced her ex Liam (Marcus Rosner), a summer fling who had seemed like a long-forgotten chapter.

The season delved into Maggie and Cal’s journey toward cohabitation. Just when they thought they had overcome their biggest challenge, a guest at Sullivan’s Crossing revealed himself to be Liam, shocking Cal by identifying himself as Maggie’s husband.

Showrunner Roma Roth offered a glimpse into what’s ahead for the series.

“I’m absolutely thrilled that Sullivan’s Crossing is returning for a fourth season,” Roth stated. “It’s been a dream to see it resonate globally and watch the ratings rise. Season 4 will delve into themes of change and transformation, bringing a fresh set of thrilling and emotional challenges for Maggie and Cal.”
